Need shoes for shorts. Summer.

Hey mates I know it's approaching winter over there, but downunder it's just getting into Summer (think 100+ degrees F) over here.

I just got these pretty mad checkered blue shorts from Ben Sherman, but have not many footwear items (bar thongs).

I was just browsing ebay, and these caught my eye: (my exact size, too.)

What do you all think? Good to go, sockless?

And would there be problems wearing these with straight-leg jeans? Would they look a little thin?

Why dont you just go to 'a China Town near you' and get a pair of canvas kung-fu slip ones for about $8.

If you are in Syd Incu have some awesome kicks - limited edition patent leather lacoste, MJ Vans and Umbro/Kim Jones sneakers which are pretty light for summer and they have a fold down heel so you can slide them right on if you wish - i just got a pair in black.

hey yeah im in lower north shore, im not sure if i have a budget for full price stuff - but yeah i was thinking of getting some canvas ones, however these are leather and look pretty sweet (at least i thought). maybe i should get some canvas as well.
