depends on the shoes: black boots are classic bad-ass. Black brogues are alittle too dressy for jeans IMO. (note: I am completely ignoring this statement myself....see my jeans and lindberg brogues in WYWT)

depends on ur top too... can pull it off easily with black top blue jeans and black shoes.

black boots are okay, especially if they're beat up enough that they appear more grey than black, but overall i think black shoes look terrible with blue denim. the color combination is just not at all appealing to me.

I wore black Nikes with a pair of Levis the other day... I don't see anything wrong with black dress shoes with jeans either, although, dress shoes with jeans isn't a look I would try to pull off anyway.

generally i see my jeans as neutral, without effect on the color coordination of the rest of my fit, so i just match my shoes to my upper and accessories. i guess i feel like indigo jeans are so standard that unless there's something obviously clashing, it doesn't matter what going on down there. in fact, i'm having trouble thinking of a look where blue jeans and black shoes/boots looks bad. examples anyone?

IMO, theres nothing better than blue jeans and grey top, top it of with some grey shoes !
