NYC leather supply

went wandering around the garment district earlier this week and couldn't really find anything. does anyone know any shops where you can buy full hides or pre cut pieces of premium, thick saddle leathers? i'm trying to find some to make a new run of belts, but am having zero luck.

i'm looking for something that's going to be better quality than tandy. their belt blanks stretch and rip really easily.

on 27th street between 7th and 8th (closer to 8th, close to FIT), there is a small leather shop where you can get sides. this shop is nice because you can get smaller pieces.
