Why is the top button on a button fly always bigger?

I think it's for functional and aesthetic purposes. The top button is the biggest so the wearer can grab them the easiest. I guess it just evens out the proportions of the jeans.

Beyond the top buttons, I dig the Dior latch, the beltline looks so clean that way. I can get away with shirts tucked in at work without a belt and feel like I can get away without looking like I'm wearing jeans (especially the same ones day after day.) I actually love the plain fly buttons too, though perhaps I'm not that hard to impress. The rivets though...

yeah the hook on Dior top button position is a nice detail but useless for me i find...every time i try tucking my shirt in with a pair of diors it dont work as they sag low and my shirt tails end up coming out whenever i sit down (i've tried tightening the belt and wearin em higher but they don't feel as natural that way).
