Discharging Fabrics?

Anyone know what material to discharge dye from fabrics with? Picked up an unlined Valentino blazer recently (66% cotton, 33% linen), and found it really hard to work it into my wardrobe because of the shade of cream it is. I wanna discharge all the dye evenly and then redye it into a grey colour.

Will simply bleach + water evenly mixed work well enough for this? Anyone ever tried it?

I wouldn't suggest attemping to discharge the fabric; simply too many complications.

Just overdye the garment. Depending on the dye that you decide to use, make sure to add salt (or whatever the dye chem calls for) to the dye mixture -- that will help the dye take evenly on the fabric.

why would it be? unless the color is very vibrant, which I doubt if its basic cream? grey is darker, the cream can possibly add some shade to the color (probably make it warmer)

if you know a store that has dye they should also have dye/color remover
