Bought in Italy and worn only once, this is a pair of Helmut Lang: Classic Denim - Turn up cut. From the looks of it, they are a one wash denim. Size 27 waist. $70

Levis 606 Japanese Edition. Size 30/32 Worn and washed several times- denim is so so soft. Slimmer fit. $40

Rmutt: I have to be honest and tell you that I don't know exactly what a turn up cut is. Though they do seem to come in slightly at the knee.

Rise is the measurement from crotch to waist.

I have the HL turn up cuts myself, and as cultpop says, they're extra long so that the hem can be turned up--hence the apt name. My size 33's taper close to an inch from the knee to the bottom of the hems.
