Shoe Stretching?

Hey guys,

I just became a proud owner of a pair of cordovan dress shoes in one of the best vintage store pick-ups I've ever made (completely unused, too!). Only thing is, I can only barely squeeze my feet into them width wise (They are pretty much spot on as far as length goes, though). The shopowner reccommended that I get them stretched by a shoe guy. Has anybody had this done before? How does the process work? Is this safe for my valuable new shoes?

if your they are made out of leather you can give it a shot. Just bring it to the shoes guy and ask...they probably will put the shoes in a stream thing with a shoes shape and then heat it up and stretch your shoes. well I would say it's safe. my girlfriend took a pair of ysl shoes to a shoe guy to stretch and they worked out well. ofcoz it depends on your shoes...so just take them to the shoe guy and ask
