Do they still make any of the classic style jeans from their early years?

Like with selvedge, no heavy distressing, normal rise?

I saw Diesels in a shop near me and it was pure shit. Absolutely every model was a 'fashion' cut, you couldnt just buy a normal, quality pair.

I want the ones from the old days which had the Mohican guy on the leather patch and the Italian flag stripe selvedge!!

(I saw a pic of these on someone's denim blog yesterday. I will try to find it and link it)

Does anyone know the name(s) of these original cuts so i could search ebay or something (if they are no longer in production)

Wash 726 is selvedge, that's about all I know. You can also search the honestforum archives: http://old.honestforum.com/search.php - put in 'selvedge' and search only the Diesel section, there's a few hits.

i saw some old school diesel selvage with little distressing at a thrift store for only $15. i was very tempted to get it, but decided not to. fit was very baggy in the thigh.

yeah, i know, i know. there were a couple of paint stains. also, they cut open the leg at the bottom, you know boot style (also fixable).

diesel has made a few bland washes (70K, 86L, etc) for 2006, some of them being on higher (read: higher than low-rise) rised jeans. nothing new in terms of selvedge, as far as i know.

check out the shazor 70K - indian on the back patch, subtle back pockets - mid-rise, not too flashy wash

But these actually don't fit baggy...straight leg with the rise fairly low. I actually got them for $65 at Amarcord.

The diesel selvage I know of were a one wash Kratt or xRotuck amd also a Kratt distressed witth the orange selvage ..

Diesel selvedge I am 99% sure all have the word selvedge printed on the pocket liner
