just to repeat the earlier thread a bit.

I just tried the sugar starching today on my raw LVC 47s

The reason was because I was using the spray can starch and I just didnt think it was very effective no matter how much I sprayed! Also I couldnt find liquid starch (in England)

basically mix sugar in boiled water, let it cool, then spray on the jeans and let them hang dry.

they are now hard as a rock.

Sitffer than when first purchased and much stiffer than when I ever used starch.

so there we go.

about three - four tablespoons per water bottle sprayer.
