Question on fit: Rescues vs. 47's

I have been reading all the threads and trying to learn as much as possible. Now that I have a couple of pairs of good jeans in which I can compare the fit I’m getting a better appreciation of how things like rise affect the fit and look. I am thinking about buying a pair of Sugarcane’s and have been following the threads for the last couple of months.

I just got in a pair of used APC Rescues and I have a pair of LVC 37’s. My question regards fit on the 47’s. I’m hoping that someone has a pair of rescues and the 47’s and could tell me the difference in fit. Is the rise higher in the 47’s than in the Rescues? I’m looking for something that would fall between the more modern look of the Rescue’s and the anti-fit look of the 37’s. Do the 47’s have more room in the crotch than the Rescue’s?

I have an older LVC 47 and the Rescue. I'd say the 47 is what you're looking for. Slimmer than the 37, but not quite as slim as the Rescue. Also more room in the seat and a slightly higher rise.

size 34 rescues have about an 11.5 inch rise.

size 36 '47 sugarcanes are about 12.5 inches.

so they have a solid inch in the front. the rescues have a larger waist, though.

i believe the sugarcanes have a larger thigh/seat, part of the anti-fit.
