On the verge of Buying a BS United ONI Denim

Dude, good luck. It seems like either no one knows anything or no one cares. Several in the past have tried to ask - zippo response. I have had a japanese colleague email hinoya and from their response it seems like the most similar cut is the Levi's 1944 and that the leg is very straight. I don't know about the weight of the denim or how high the rise is. Nor do I know how much wider the 1944s are compared to the 47s. If you do get them please post a description.

Hey John,

I went to Hinoya while I was in Tokyo about 6 months ago. I remember these jeans. If I'm thinking of the right ones, the denim is medium-weight (maybe like 13 or 14oz) and incredibly coarse/grainy. Kinda like an extreme version of the denim they have used on the LVC 47s in the past.

These jeans are mad if you can dig the old-school 501 replica cuts.

Good luck with them.

EDIT: oh yeah I just looked at the photos again. The laurel wreath on the top waist button might suggest that these are levis 1944 replicas (I'm pretty sure they used the same style button on the 44), as Mongolian said above.

thanks ringring, it's now on its way. i saw these jeans in Hinoya and its fabric really struck me the most among the dozens of jeans in those stores. unfortunately, they ran out of my size. i wasn't able to try to them on them but the denim was the best i've seen.
