Shops you love to hate in NYC!

Lounge -- I'll second to that. Had to walk in (looking for some stupid holiday gift) around xmas to this abhorring store. Filled with trash, pornstar lookalikes and the 2001 Ministry of Sound garage annual on full blast. Actually every "multi-brand concept store" in Broadway/SoHo are like that, and I've always wondered people bothered with them as the brand flagship stores (ie G-Star) are usually around the corner. In theory, Bloomingdales falls under this category but was off the blacklist few days ago as I found a Helmut Lang suit I've been looking for since August (on three different continents) for half-price, and with the dollar ratio counted in... well I was on verge of tears.

Also, one particular store in that area that's been enjoying my aggravation lately is Puma. Always in disarray, some retard dj compensating his lack of mixing skills with richter-scale loudness. I found it to be particulary annoying when I found where most of the goods are manufactured.

LOUNGE definatley top of the list for nasty shops in NYC.

YA I DONT GET WHY PEOPLE GO TO DEPARTMENT STORES OR small shops when they can go to the actuall flagship shop and see everything from the label that they are carrying!!! that is how i shop. i refuse going to a shop that may carry a line, and only a little bit of it, when I could go to the real shop and see everything and be within the enviroment that the label has created.

ya bloomingdales has y-3 but come on that store is jsut like lounge just with a bigger name attatched to it!!!

the only thing good at bloomies is the makeup and perfume counter's. The clothing selection is awful and trashy. I once went to Bloomingdales soho and the ENTIRE mens floor looked like it was hit by a tornado!!! All the employee's were standing at the cash wrap laughing and doing absoulutly nothing about it!

I almost told them to clean up the store. If i was running that place and witnessed my staff fooling around with such a nasty presentation of the shop i would of fired them all on the spot!!

Soho is just falling to pieces. all these nasty shops everywhere!!! and trashy people who think they are fashionable. and tehy are NOT!!!!

i defintiely feel you Roy - taste and sophistication is not such a common thing -

you're more than likely not gonna find it in a department store - even barneys and

bergdorf have some horrible people on the floors that have absolutley no clue what

customer service is, or decency at that.

i've had countless of negative retail experiences and am overall put off by it (with

some exceptions) - like bagutta life for example - superior customer service, superior

product and no bullshit. another is A - though the clothes there (more like price points)

make the small boutique a little intimidating, the people there are quite nice and are

down for conversation.

dig.
