  1. I know! How does this keep happening! Damn you incredible makers of nice stuff!!
  2. I'm just trying to triangulate the fit now actually, comparing to my 50's and the old S40's, which they also have on preorder run at present. I recall many comments on here around the exorbitant rise and oddly slender fit, I can see how that would totally nail it for some. I've got the 50's in a 33, but I always yearned for a bit more room - I feel like I would go all the way to 36 in the new late S40's!
  3. https://tcbjeans.myshopify.com/products/pre-order-late-s40s-jeans Flannel pocket wonky stitch wartime goodness now up for pre-order!! 👀
  4. @Broark they're actually really nice thanks for the heads up, could make that toe shape work! If only I actually needed or could afford more boots right now! 🙃
  5. @yung_flynn thanks for sharing that seller! It's a gold mine!! Just earmarked a pair of Denime XX that, if they're still there in another couple weeks, I'm bagging!!! (sorry realise that's not thread-related, back to the scheduled programming)
  6. I think it was actually the heft of your Lofgrens that I'm drawn to, I find that "normal" Chelsea boots look too pointy on me - I have wider feet and a pointy/sleek shoe just never ever sits right for me, visually or physically. There was a Red Wing spin on a Chelsea a while ago too, the Chelsea Rancher, which had that similar robust look - "elevated Blundstone", perhaps?
  7. Yes do it! It would be like an all time faded denim greatest hits!
  8. Some good wooden floor and sunshine vibes going on here lads
  9. Picked up this pair of Alden 9501 (plain toe bluchers in natty chromexcel) second hand for a great price. Good amount of patina going on already and plenty of life left, look and feel like they won't need a resole for some time yet too! The upper wasn't particularly well cared for by previous owner, so doing my best to nourish it while retaining the characteristics of natural cxl. Apologies the best photo of them is upside down! 🙃 try as I might I can't flip it round for some reason!
  10. Confirmed my size, I'm going to be in the 5150, size 35, 72cm washed inseam. Aiming for ~70cm ultimately but I calculated after measuring all my Shinya fabric pairs that I will definitely get that extra ~2cm off with a few wash and dries. Given that we're starting this thing in winter that will probably happen very quickly!
  11. Lovely pair of chelsea boots! I've frequently been interested in a pair of chelsea boots by one brand or another, I like the simplicity and clean look
  12. 2 angles on the Warehouse, Denime, Alden combo
  13. Looking for a wide-ish, no break look myself. Which is giving me jitters thinking about working out a final inseam. Going to try and be brave and put in my measurements this evening!
  14. Agreed! Incredible progress! This has all happened so fast! Pretty much certain it's the 5150 for me, just need to do some final sizing working out and then will confirm.
  15. Thank you you've certainly increased my interest, looking forward to seeing some photos of the black 505's!
  16. That would be helpful! I can never quite work out the fit / cut on TCB's own site properly due to the way they style and wear their jeans being so different from how I would.
  17. @aho the Beckmans look great! Interested in seeing how they age and develop, I've not seen so much of that, r/RedWingShoes is full of the more popular (and I suppose more recently available) Iron Rangers, Moc toes and Blacksmiths
  18. I'd always been a fan of MASH co. boots and other bits of military repro, but had never looked at their denim items, definitely not seen any of them worn in! These look great!!
  19. @Double 0 Soul I'm now looking at the bathroom photos on a bigger screen, rather than squinting on my phone - the craftsmanship throughout is unbelievable! A question on the cabinets you built - the ply you've used looks mega hefty, I can't quite tell if it's two layers or one mega thick layer - did you have to use some sort of marine grade ply or rather just rely on everything being properly watertight that's fixed on top? Judging by the quality of the tiling work I'm imagining you're very unlikely to ever have issues! The grooved vertically stacked mini subway brick tiles are amazing too!
  20. @youngofthesoonest that matches my understanding of those two cuts too!
  21. That bathroom is absolutely incredible, great work!!
  22. Cross-post ish from WAYWT. New to me Butcher products lovely lightweight open collar sport shirt doing great in this last summer hurrah, and At Last & co Lot 203 WW2 jeans.
  23. Butcher Products At Last & co Asahi
  24. Thank you for the tip @jeash90!!
  25. Eyyyyyy this is exciting! Nice to see we're nearly there and glad to see @AlientoyWorkmachine had a change of plan! I was also wondering whether @volvo240thebest would join - given the Italian origin of these jeans and some of the history of organising contests I've read through on here I thought it had to happen!
