  1. Unagi at the fish market in Tokyo. Deus Ex Machina // BLK DNM // HD x Neighborhood // Samurai 710 // Stone Island (Bag)
  2. I checked out Denime when I was in BEARS' and damn, some nice crunchy denim. Pity they run such short inseams. I have found in Japan, the domestic market seems to only stock shorter inseams, however, most places are sold out of size 36 usually. Has been good for my wallet.
  3. I have gone and done a thing while in Tokyo.
  4. Been checking the last few days but the site was still down, nice re-design K! 🔥
  5. They look nice @buler! I was going to say, though, that the difference between 32 vs 34 for inseam length would have me sending it back BUT looking at their chart, it does say for the size 34, the inseam is 32. Odd. The size 36 measurements—for me—look really nice on the straight, but especially nice on the tapered version. As a side note, I am waiting for IH to restock the 17-oz Ducks in the 888. They are the best cut for sure.
  6. It's kind of like my LEGO collection @Double 0 Soul, recently looked up how much some of mine are worth, and wow. Of course, untouched in a box commands huge prices but even used, it is way higher than what I would have ever expected.
  7. I'm heading to Tokyo next week, so TFH shop is on the list. I think if I were to purchase another 3X denim, I might go for a more roomy fit to see how that would fade (compared to my SE05BSP). I'm thinking the 3004 most likely. The 3012 fit looks to fit exactly the same as my Nudie Steady Eddie II albeit a slightly smaller leg opening. If I can find a cheap pair online, definitely would cop, but with shrinkage, I'd imagine I need to find a 38.
  8. A lot of these shops are on Shopify so most likely a glitch.
  9. You are right BF, I found it here. Regarding specificity, what place in Tokyo shouldn't be missed? It could be a bar, a restaurant, a park/shrine, an onsen (tattoo-friendly), a tour, etc. I have been before, and so have a bunch of my friends, so I have about 350 spots on Google Maps, but with only 11 days there, trying to parse out the most worthwhile, and even add a few more. I'm hoping someone has a Wagyu teppanyaki spot they recommend too.
  10. I guess I'll cancel my trip then. 😉 I got as many brands as I could find saved on Google Maps, wondering what shops have multiple brands I may have missed. The Self Edge's of Japan? Hinoya or similar. I was hoping Bears had a brick-and-mortar, but it doesn't appear to. I see Resolute has had some pop-ups as of late, hopefully, one near me during my stay there.
  11. Going to Japan in a week, any shops and/or denim-related things I should know about?
  12. I thought this denim Eames chair was pretty cool, like they way they faded it out.
  13. So, is it "Two Cats Brand" or "Taking Care [of] Business" or depends on who you ask? I'm really digging their style but their inseams are so short, from what I can tell. Don't think I could pull it off.
  14. Denime was sent back in time, from the future because they knew about @beautiful_FrEaK and his "Fucking Quest" to find every era of Denime.
  15. Would love to know the details on those. Been following Rockets on IG, and the attention to detail looks amazing. If not too much trouble, the old 'Presoak > Postsoak' measurements would be dope, I think we might be similar in sizing...
  16. Samurai weather today. Also wearing my Common Project Training Boots, a good 15 years on those, somehow still going strong.
  17. Getting cooler as of late so back on the Sams.
  18. These are probably my next pairs. Is Eternal 811 similar to WH?
  19. Hell yeah! Gotta start them when they are young! Jim C and Sunday, nice! The plan is to build it up eventually (I have T1 bars, some shiny new Profile cranks and hubs ready) but I have no space for another bike. Already got 3 and the girls and no space. So the frame is currently an office ornament. I am also on the MTB train too. Picked this up a couple of years ago (this was the day I got it, so plenty banged up now). Love it, 140 front and 125 rear so it has that BMX snappy feeling to it.
  20. Damn @Bobbo, what a collection! I stick to the same brands when it comes to tees, hats, shoes et al but for denim, love trying different brands. You have roughly 20+ brands right there.
  21. Do/did you ride 00? I recently picked up a new Terrible One Barcode from Joe a few months ago. They used to be made by S&M, but they are so busy now doing a lot of brand's frames, Joe couldn't get a slot.
  22. This was meant to be about denim fabric per se, not cuts, hard-to-get, or "rare" denims. An unpopular opinion of mine is I'm not a huge fan of Cone Mills denim. I have a pair of Roys, I love the details as far as cut is concerned, but the denim is never something I was wowed by. I had a pair of Dutils back in the day (same denim from CM), and after a good year and a half, I came to the same conclusion. Some of my jeans, I: Like the denim, cut is irrelevant Like the cut, denim is irrelevant Like both Any jean that satisfies number 3 solely are the pairs I wear the most. As far as my list on the first post: APC denim (quick fader with a really nice deep (but not so deep it looks black) initial blue, yet a great electric blue when worn) Flat Head 3XXX (vertical fading is unmatched, and I find the weight the best overall, I like the texture feel much like APC denim too) Iron Heart 21oz (to me, just a heavier version of APC as far as color and fading) Samurai 19oz (indigo is relatively new to me, but the unevenness and texture is awesome, surprisingly breathable and seems to be a quick fader. Black was probably my first intro in fade-to-grey style denim) Sugar Cane EDO-AI (the slubbiness and green hue, I find myself checking out this denim the most)
