This is pertinent to how tall cars are too. As people like to sit higher, each iteration, the cars get higher. I have a pretty low car, so I hate being behind vehicles that I can't see the next car. SUVs as sports cars (RS/AMG/M etc) make no sense to me. For a car to be fast, the center of gravity should be closer to the ground, why bother with a car that wasn't really meant to go around corners? I guess it's a selling point to dads that need to sell a concept to their wife? I remember watching TheSMokingTire do an episode on the Rivian R1T @Broark, that thing is capable!

I like any and all pizza. NY, Detroit, Neapolitan, Chicago deep dish (which is why I thought they called them pies tbh) et al. Margherita, marinara, pepperoni, cheese, supreme, hawaiian, BBQ chicken, potato, white sauce...I cannot say I have ever had a bad pizza, no matter what was on it. I have recently been to a few Japanese pizza places that ranked in the top 20 of the world, and they were incredible. "Weirder" topping-style pizza compared to what chains sell, of course. Love making za too! PS Simone is poking fun at Italians regarding their pizza stereotype 😂- 395 replies

Freewheelers, Bootleggers Reunion, Bubo, etc.
reallypeacedoff replied to rnrswitch's topic in superdenim
Ahh yeah, I should have appropriately read and also specified mine was for about seven small repairs. It would have been way cheaper at SE, but I couldn't miss two months 😂. Usually I ain't in a rush... -

You are lucky! Last time I went to take my IIY4 pair in the SELA, it was 6-8 weeks. Had to go to the local tailor instead. -

I was thinking indigo denim for most of the upholstery, orange stitching, inserts/highlights in weft side, natural tan leather for the dash and various touchpoints, and copper trimmings for things like the gear knob, spokes of the steering wheel etc. Have a couple of spots that have the selvedge line visible too, nothing too crazy, just subtle hints. Red fabric door pulls. Minitruck would probably be a metallic copper orange to tie it all in...Obviously I have somewhat thought about this. Only problem is, how do you account for shrinkage and stretching of the denim? 😂 -
Are we talking about the 220A XX or the other newly released variation? If it's the former, I got the size 36, and two warm washes and a hang dry yielded: 37.50, 13.50, 17.50, 13.25, 10.25, 9.25, 34.50 (pre-soak) 35.25, 12.50, 16.75, 12.75, 9.75, 8.75, 32.50 (post-soak) Those look so good @vIGGiou riou!

There's something about the 220A; it's really nice denim(e)!

Recently, Renault added "black denim" to one of their cars. If I were to ever build a "minitruck," I think I would get it upholstered in denim; it would be a good fit. -

From what I have seen on the IIY4, the 1001XX are insanely fast faders. People's 3-month updates were better than my 1.5-year everyday wear denims. I'm pretty hard on jeans, and I have no idea how they fade them this fast. Is it a good thing? I don't know; I feel like a balance is good. I have Nudie and SDA, and they are relatively slow faders, but my TFH and Denime seem pretty quick in comparison. Is it how many dips in indigo that prove how steadfast they are, or are there other factors as well? The science behind it is fascinating, but I fear some companies want to be known as super-fast faders; it probably brings in sales. People generally want to see results quickly. How fast they fade isn't necessarily reflective of a brand's quality. After a year or year and a half, putting them on a shelf doesn't show how sturdy they are. I'd imagine some brands capitalize on this. I'm not saying Denime, but that's an interesting take. I personally love my 220A Offset XX.

Because @beautiful_FrEaK has decided not to buy any new jeans, I decided to pick up the slack. I got myself some S710XX-BK this weekend...Nice to have some proper black denim in rotation. -

I picked up a pair of the S710XX-BK last night. I will post when I receive them, but I have wanted a pair of black jeans for a long time, and these fit the bill. Originally, I liked the non-contrasting stitching, but after seeing Resolute's Ghost Black with the contrast stitching, it swayed me.

What software did everyone use to create music back in the day? Reason, I think it was called? You could "plug in" different synths and whatnot. I remember notating (for drums) all my favorite songs in Notepad. Isolate the drums and then mix them with my drums. Was a good way to learn and find any mistakes in your drum tablature. Good times!

Nostalgia. Most of the time it's in my pocket so no one sees what it is. But I illustrated that it turns heads (whether they know what it is or not). I like the player's industrial design. I like the OS UI/UX. I don't care for "super high quality audio." It's fun pulling things apart and figuring out what's wrong, so no trouble. The 4th Gen cost me a little over $40 so it's hardly breaking the bank. I listen to albums as a whole more than when on Spotify. Keeps me off my iPhone a lot more et al etc etc

Need some new songs @Double 0 Soul! This one is a doozy. Dual boot, so Apple iPod OS or RockBox where you can fully customize practically every setting and run themes. I'm currently designing and coding a theme but using one of the best ones I could find. 5.5 Gen iPod with 64MB onboard, 512GB Samsung flash on a iFlash board, 3300mAh phone battery, taptic engine (so it vibrates as well as clicks) with a transparent front, OEM black clickwheel and an older 80GB backplate (scratched up). Gets about 80 hours or so at least.
