I have been to BEARS, and that place is so packed with jeans that you can barely fit in there. There is no way they are doing any additional washing. As @Alec Leamas said, I would imagine you got a pair that was sitting on the heating element (mostly), and the other pair was probably protected by a few pairs in the dryer. When I was at Fullcount in Tokyo, I noticed that each patch was different too, didn't really think about it until then but I'd imagine that's why.

I purchased one this morning from Bears so will report back on the silly string. Both FC and SoaS show a lot less than Bears. Will trim mine to look similar to the above.

SUPERDENIM SMALL QUESTIONS THREAD (Use instead of making new threads)
reallypeacedoff replied to minya's topic in superdenim
I realized today that I have never washed a denim jacket before. I usually button up my jeans and turn them inside out. Same procedure? Or unbutton everything like I would a flannel shirt? -
It doesn't help that Kapital has a fairly tight limit on items produced, which I think is a good thing, but not when you are actually vying to get one.

I saw one dude on Reddit showing his 4-year old pair of lot 470—many washes, "clubbing," et al—and they weren't that far along IMO. Then again, my SE pair are worn a couple of times a month max, so I wouldn't see any fading for a very long time.
-
Sure, I meant non-fade as in very black—being both warp and weft being dyed—but also, it's like a 5-year feat to fade compared to something like the SC42460 (or something like the Samurai 710BK), which would show significant results in a year.

What's the best way to order Kapital stuff from Japan? I'm looking for a couple of pieces and looking in NA, the prices are crazy!
-
It's the 101, actually 😆
-
Not quite the same; I have 1947 from SE, and they are the non-fade black—Blk/Blk. The ones from Bear are more like indigo—fade to grey in reality.

Good chat though! To weigh in, just look at the size of the BMW M3 throughout the years. Each new iteration takes the size of the previous generation M5. The current M3 is a super yacht. The juxtaposition of making cars larger, adding more electrical nanny's to keep that weight increase manageable—the irony isn't lost on me.

I just picked up the 1947 BLK from Bears as they just had a restock.
-
This is pertinent to how tall cars are too. As people like to sit higher, each iteration, the cars get higher. I have a pretty low car, so I hate being behind vehicles that I can't see the next car. SUVs as sports cars (RS/AMG/M etc) make no sense to me. For a car to be fast, the center of gravity should be closer to the ground, why bother with a car that wasn't really meant to go around corners? I guess it's a selling point to dads that need to sell a concept to their wife? I remember watching TheSMokingTire do an episode on the Rivian R1T @Broark, that thing is capable!

I like any and all pizza. NY, Detroit, Neapolitan, Chicago deep dish (which is why I thought they called them pies tbh) et al. Margherita, marinara, pepperoni, cheese, supreme, hawaiian, BBQ chicken, potato, white sauce...I cannot say I have ever had a bad pizza, no matter what was on it. I have recently been to a few Japanese pizza places that ranked in the top 20 of the world, and they were incredible. "Weirder" topping-style pizza compared to what chains sell, of course. Love making za too! PS Simone is poking fun at Italians regarding their pizza stereotype 😂- 1286 replies

Freewheelers, Bootleggers Reunion, Bubo, etc.
reallypeacedoff replied to rnrswitch's topic in superdenim
Ahh yeah, I should have appropriately read and also specified mine was for about seven small repairs. It would have been way cheaper at SE, but I couldn't miss two months 😂. Usually I ain't in a rush... -

You are lucky! Last time I went to take my IIY4 pair in the SELA, it was 6-8 weeks. Had to go to the local tailor instead. -
Denim Blunders, Reflections and General Nonsense.

I was thinking indigo denim for most of the upholstery, orange stitching, inserts/highlights in weft side, natural tan leather for the dash and various touchpoints, and copper trimmings for things like the gear knob, spokes of the steering wheel etc. Have a couple of spots that have the selvedge line visible too, nothing too crazy, just subtle hints. Red fabric door pulls. Minitruck would probably be a metallic copper orange to tie it all in...Obviously I have somewhat thought about this. Only problem is, how do you account for shrinkage and stretching of the denim? 😂 -
Are we talking about the 220A XX or the other newly released variation? If it's the former, I got the size 36, and two warm washes and a hang dry yielded: 37.50, 13.50, 17.50, 13.25, 10.25, 9.25, 34.50 (pre-soak) 35.25, 12.50, 16.75, 12.75, 9.75, 8.75, 32.50 (post-soak) Those look so good @vIGGiou riou!
