  1. @chicote love them - they look great... mine are new blue but that vertical character is there albeit subtly
  2. Freewheelers / Mister Freedom / At Last / Pras
  3. @julian-wolf Most excellent - congratulations!
  4. @CSL great post, cool as... do I spy Mister Freedom Buckaroos and a spot of wabash?
  5. @AlientoyWorkmachine @chicote thanks for the insights gents... I've been re-inspired to put my woad 132s on again today

@bootsofmannishleather nice entrance to the forum... welcome!
  7. @chicote that's a tremendous trio of worn-in denim up above.... agree the Tender have so much character. I've had a couple of pairs of 132s (one logwood, sold as they were too big... I should have kept them as they'd now be a good slightly oversized fit... I live and learn; one woad, worn a little but no appreciable evolution yet). My guess has always been they'll take more effort to wear in properly than other jeans - but it's just a guess. Hence I'm curious to get a feel for how much wearing-time it takes to get to a comparable level of fade / evolution. How would you compare this your three beauties above? All other views from those Tender wearers out there also appreciated...
  8. @bloom there's a woad 10th anniversary type 900 in medium, with the special Donegal blanket liner, here
  9. @bloom welcome mate... good to see you posting! Re your type 1 question, depends what length you need... out of Freewheelers, based on what I know, the WW2 1944-45 type 1s are a little longer than the 27 or 33 versions. They're classed as a jacket rather than a blouse. The truth is definitely in the tape measure though so your measurements will give the answer. Good luck hunting.
  10. It's a rainy bank holiday so I thought I'd add to the chat above... A few type 1 pics and comparison between the 1927 and the 1933 blouses (I got the 1933 a month or so ago as just couldn't resist scratching the itch ) The 1927 (the faded blouse) is the so-called standard denim… from the descriptions I’ve read, the 1946-47 type 1 uses the same standard denim The 1933 uses red caste denim Both, imo, are really lovely denim in their own right… I’m looking forward to seeing faded examples of the 30s denim, in due course As we know, the 1944-45 WW2 type 1 is in another different denim which has beautiful vertical character – plenty of pics kicking around in this thread from the lads Comparing the 1927 v 1933... Cut-wise, there's a hair's breadth between the two… see the measurements table comparing my well washed 1927 and my new 1933 (washed version) They both have curved pocket flaps, reasonably wide sleeves, no red tab, smaller buttons (*), splayed collar (compared to the much pointier 40s collars) and both have wide shoulders to give the drop-shoulder period correct look The differences are the denim, the colour of the stitching and the buttons (*) - the 1927's are unbranded, the 1933's are branded but both small-button
  11. @smoothsailor what a pair of jeans!! I'm curious... wondering why the left leg has got beaten up more than the right mate?

Mate I have an idea for your next portrait / interview... Man, myth, legend or AI chatbot... the real Maynard Friedman uncovered... would be awesome If you can also land his first WAYWT fit pic... it will blow up the blogosphere!!!
  14. I'm with you in that the photos make the neck look reasonably small for those on sale now. Austin's will be the acid test for the 23s model mate. For 22s model I have, it's larger size necks akin to old military t-shirts.
  15. tatsunosuke / Freewheelers x 2 / Pras
  16. MIne are 22s t-shirts, noticed these new ones are 23s. Noting mine are too big for me, the neck is big - if I had the right size, I think the neck would still be on the bigger side... bigger than Warehouse. The 23s chart is about 5cm smaller in chest and shoulder than mine, for a size 42. So maybe the neck has been reduced too. A long way of saying Broark's the best source of info here mate for this new batch @Broark interested in fit pics if you have the time and inclination mate... PS the t-shirts seem to go up 21s, 22s, 23s... not sure why, not looked into that
  17. You must have had fast fingers - they sell out quick. This reminded me I have two of them that were too big - think size 44 too. Any big lads out there interested on buying, DM me for deets. If not, I will try them again / maybe put them in the dryer.

@mstax the Freewheelers price should be better if you import it from Japan compared to European prices... Hoosier provides great customer service
  19. A trip to Manchester (on a school night last week ) to see Pokey Lafarge play at Band on the Wall... his betrothed Hamilton Addie made a welcome appearance too
  20. @Jared_Lee @srudy @mousemouse lovely jeans, great work... congratulations!
  21. Prioritising a skip over some Sharpeye pumps??? How will Maynard fund his nearly-but-not-quite-no-buy-2023???
  22. Good timing that sales pitch Maynard as he's just got some funds in
  23. Hahaha like my old French teacher said... those were deliberate mistakes to make sure you were paying attention ... I knew you'd like picking up on that almost as much as you like the pumps
