Wearing the contest jeans 3x per week for 18 months will give about 234 wears Is it enough to get some good fades? How many wears are too many? Wearing 7x per week means 546 wears... is that too much? Not long til we get going now...

I like the Parker Knoll Statesman chairs. So I contacted a local upholsterer to ask if she'd be able to re-upholster one if I could find a chair. Better than that she said, I have just got hold of a knackered one to refurbish... the chance coincidence was too good to give up. Given the state the original was in, it was basically a new build based around the original frame. The twisting mechanism had to be repaired and is 'vintage rickety' which adds character methinks. There was fun and games with the fabric... the first boucle fabric sample held onto everything and was a nightmare to clean so that had to be replaced with new fabric... anyhow the job was finished in Dec 2023 so the chair's been in use over a year now and part of the family... Final pic there including recently received copy of Mongrel Kampung by our very own @oomslokop

There was some coffee banter recently... but I can't find it... it reminded me that there was some coffee chit chat on the Nice Things thread from here for a few pages

Agreed, not seeing that as good news. LMVH has shareholders to satisfy and profit will be king to them. It's hard to see how Kapital's innovative designs and products won't be impacted and the costs rise (they were pretty top end anyway). I see Superfuture got a shout out in the highsnobiety article!

^ yes mate... I bought it for MrsMJF9 years ago... and conveniently use it myself . Sturdy thing that has held up well. I bought her a fancy-ish Porter one more recently but the hardware isn't a patch on the Topo
