    Chore coats

AFAIK, the defining qualities of a chore coat include: -Length; should be longer than a blouse (denim jacket) and reach at least halfway down one's rear, preferably covering it entirely -Two large patch pockets at the bottom of the front, generally open top (no flap) plus another patch pocket or two on the chest, one with a side opening to accommodate a pocket watch (usually on the wearer’s left-hand sign, made with right-ganders in mind); optional inside pocket -Wobble shank buttons early on; snap buttons on later versions -No pleating on front (as on a blouse/denim jacket) but a wide facing that flares out to meet the outer edges of the collar stand at the base -No game pockets on the side or back (as seen on hunting coats) -No slash/hand warmer pockets -No riveting as on a denim blouse; bartacks instead -Cloth or disposable paper patches; no leather patches -Curved deep cuff
  4. I would like to get another N-1 boots in a near future to remplace my OakStreetBootmakers. I'm debating on a pair of Viberg Boondocker VS. John Lofgren M-43. I'm more into the John Lofgren because it's GYW and Vibergs are stitch down but at the same time I prefer Viberg Boondocker shape. Any advice or useful opinion ? Viberg : John Lofgren :

When is a chore coat not a chore coat? What defines it? We’ve got a huge range of styles and even outerwear that might be something other than a chore coat.

Well, it was a uniform in those days, so you’d be wearing whatever else was issued to you ... or you’d be wearing whatever other clothes you could afford. I guess sartorial and chore weren’t words often mixed until SuFu was born

Thanks a lot. I really like them, even if I have to stretch them quite a bit and have to get used to the color. Wearing them to work today makes me feel pretty ivy league. @unders I'm sorry I can't take out your tag in the auto restored content.

basically they're both having a moment in the spotlight. it's great, really. I love new Acronym and I love the new pro audio gear coming out, but I just don't care to post pictures of my clothes or equipment as often nowadays as it feels like I'm competing for space in a dialogue dominated by people who more than anything are just showing their ability to buy things. It seems like almost everyone eventually yaks about how things were better in the past lol. How could it be true that life has been continually getting worse for centuries? I try my best to not sound like one of these people lol.

The WWII fabric is going to be insane, looking forward to your next update Ryo-san, @TCBINOUE!

Hello folks on this thread. Unfortunately?, Ryo from TCB is writing from tcbinoue account since Hajime asked me to and I don't have my Sufu account. I just wanted to make you all feel assured about the release of our WW II model since we have been asked so many times when TCB will release them. TCB WW2 is not going to fizzle out. We are going to release the jacket & the jeans at around the end of August~ the beginning of Sep. Attached are the pics from when Hajime was studying all the details of the vintage piece for the reproduction. We have already developed the fabric for this release and soon are moving on to the sample making stage. As Volvo told, we'll post the size chart of both raw/one-washed once we've done the sample. Thank you all for supporting TCB, everyone! We really appreciate all the feedbacks. We'll try our best to make this model satisfactory for all TCB supporters as well as all denim heads. We don't often check the thread even though we'd love to so if you have any feedbacks you strongly want to convey to us, please let us know through Ryo's IG(@rn182) or [email protected] I'll drop some updates reg the fabric in the mid June to show you the details on the fabric, reporting from the partnered weaving factory of TCB. Stay tuned, folks! We sincerely appreciate your support. TCB

A wabash polka dot shirt was one look, but the main one worn though was definitely a white/ecru long-sleeved collared shirt: Subtler stripes here for a bit of power clashing: Band collar (attachable collar removed to keep it presentable for going to and from work):

      Tillman, hello!
I was rummaging through Japanese online stores and found a brand Unknown to me - GLEEM Clothing'Co. Another version of the repro?
Have you run into them? I'm interested in models in the 60s. Very little information on the sites.
      Respectfully, Boris
