ha - i used to live there, and ask myself that question every time I go home...

And struggling to think of things to do there.. It's a decent place to grow up but god forbid you live there now...

I stayed there for 6 months, and it was the most barren town I ever experienced.

Sadly, I live here... Unless you're addicted to alcohol, drugs or gambling, you're better off not coming here. Winnipeg is a fucking embarrassment.

Not exactly SuFu fare, but one thing Wpg has over Vancouver is decent Caribbean food (Bindy's, Tropikis). That stuff is nowhere to be found here unless you go way out into the suburbs. I miss it.

Aren't there some sneaker spots downtown now or some shit?

The only place downtown for sneakers is the Urban Bakery. Even that place isn't that special.

-Hooper's and Ragpicker's (both on mcdermot) have some decent vintage clothing at premium prices

-some place across from hoopers (cant remember name) sells Cheap Monday

-Danali sells Nudies blegh

-Urban Boutique on Osborne has Capital E Levis and a few decent sneakers

-also in the hoopers area (Exchange District) is a store that has fred perry

That place, hahah. I'm surprised they're still around. They had Nudies 4-5 years ago and because of the location (both the city and the section of it), clientele and price I find it hard to believe they'd ever sold any of them.

I thought there was a sneaker shop on McDermot, near Main. I heard about it and thought I saw it when I was there for Christmas.
