that shawl collar turtle neck seems to have a really really small pit-pit to shoulder-shoudler ratio. I'm worried that it wont fit but im interested. I'm sort of in between small and medium in aa for reference.

I think you'd be fine in it. I'm a small in AA and it's a bit loose/drapy on me, so it fits more like a medium. It's definitely very stretchy material as well.
