SEATTLE HOT SPOTS?

Recommended Posts

  • 1 month later...

are you here yet?

I don't know about antique malls... I like m:pulse cafe on fremont though. there's also an modern furniture place called patina.

goods rock!

I also like Moksha in the ave. it looks like a new age indian clothing store from outside, but has nice, independent designer stuff. more on the urban-ethnic-street.

Urban necessities (or something like that) is a down hill from Alibi Room under pike place market. it's ultra small but has nice stuff.

welcome to nw!

yeah I know where it is... it's downstairs off the 1st ave... south end of Pioneer Square.

they have nice collection of Jazz, not the mainstream ones but the old ones. nice people, too.

it's fun to check them out on 1st thursday art walk night... sometime they have a platter and wine!

There are a lot of good bars, clubs and other things in the Pike/Pine neighborhood on Capitol Hill.

Check out The Stranger for club listing, etc. It's Seattle's "alternative" weekly paper:

http://www.thestranger.com/

You should also check out KEXP.org. They list music events, club calendar, venue list, etc. on there site. It also happens to be the best radio station in the country, so listen online some day!

Sonic Boom is a good record store with 3 locations:

That should get you started!
