Vancouver Bars

My girlfriend and I are heading to Vancouver in a couple of weeks. I've been there several times, but am looking for some local insight on good bars/lounges downtown. Basically, where are some good spots with a good vibe, no sports, good cocktails and hip without targeting hipsters?

lucy mae browns on sunday nights (and maybe wedensdays) has wicked hip hop and some really good drinks. the lounge is in the basement so dont be turned off when you go in and dont see anyone. too bad your rolling with your girl cause it was all dimes the last time i was through.

also theres a night at this place in gastown called big sexy funk. i forget the bars name or the day though. but it was incredible when i was there.

i wish i could give you adresses but i wasnt in a state to remember shit liek that when i was there.

i believe that would be Shine in Gastown. Get Up, Get Down on fridays (formerly at tokyo lounge) is great as well.

shine isn't too bad, or wasn't too bad when i was there a few years back. lotus sound lounge in gastown was cool too.
