  1. They definitely shouldn't be snug before pre-soak. They will shrink 2.5" for sure in waist...
  2. Awesome job! I'm interested in how you will get the buttons and rivets on there.
  3. Looking good! I just wish they ran bigger inseams for us taller folk.
  4. For some reason, I have been saying "Den-eem," but now I'm saying "Den-ime," which brings up the question, what is everyone else saying? Is it just "Denim?"
  5. Day 31/366 EOM update for the Imps...Seems like this denim is somewhat fast fading.
  6. A 458, no less, too. Between that and the GT3 RS, the two best driving cars you could ever drive. I always wondered why you Brits buy convertibles, though. Do you think that it will somehow conjure up the sun gods for you?
  7. Went for a ride today and it had rained a lot more than I thought...
  8. Hell yeah! No need to take my advice—since it's hearsay—but I was recently talking to one of the repairers at the Nudie shop in LA about wanting to make my own jeans at some point. He used to do sewing and cutting for some big brands, and he recommended not using muslin since it's a completely different material to using denim and, more specifically, heavier denim. He recommends buying some cheap 8oz denim, practicing with that, fine-tuning your pattern from that, and then start using more pricey denim once you are confident. Excited to see how you go, in fact, living vicariously through you.
  9. You are not having a good time riding that, in those conditions, wearing any of that gear.
  10. It's so funny, but I had a think (doesn't happen often) and loosened the brake pads, added a temporary zip tie between the rim and pad, and then tightened it down. As you said, toed them in. Boom, no squeak. I put the zip tie at the top so that the bottom of the pad would hit the rim first. I doubt it makes a difference at which part hits the rim first?
  11. Both, mostly drooling, though! She came out fantastic and rides like a dream. Joe, and Mike—who built the frame—love it. But seriously, it's been fun, just bunnyhopping over everything. I got crankflips back, so pedals to the shins are imminent. The only problem I have right now is the brakes; they squeal embarrassingly loud. I bombed a few hills and gradually applied pressure, but there was no change. Can't tell if there is a coating on the pads or the rims or both.
  12. Speaking of "Pitchforks," @Double 0 Soul, Reddit or BMXMuseum...
  13. Did you agitate them @DC2020 at all? I think, if you need, you could get a little more shrinkage. I would expect another 1" or so in the inseam and waist. How's that patch looking?
  14. He said he was only posting 31-33 so nothing for us bigger boys...fun to see what's going up, though. Jealous of anyone picking up some Ducks.
  15. Happens to me on Samurai, Flat Head, Self Edge, and a few other threads as well. Always takes me to the second to last page, and if someone gives me rep, it takes me to random pages, sometimes I haven't even posted on that page.
  16. That's crazy B_F! Don't think I have ever seen knee and leg openings shrink a full inch before.
  17. Because I love indigo so much, I had to talk myself out of monotone colors for the new BMX. So blue it is.
  18. They will stretch out with some wear. I found the thighs, particularly the knees, a little tight but have since stretched out.
