Happy birthday Charlie aka @Dr_Heech. You’ve caught up to me again!
Hope you had a good one yesterday, Martin and aren't feeling too shoddy?
Yes ... 55 today - thought about wearing my lvc 55's to match but since have dug out the SC47's so hopefully get a snap of them later in situ (Mrs_Heech is down so can take some as l'm bloody useless with the selfie taking )
47 definitely sounds better than 55 tho.

I'll have to get a pic of my pair, although l think they're heavily creased, which is what happens when there all folded up and lying on top of one another in a drawer or suitcase. May have to buy a metal rail or something similar.

Has anyone bought/considered buying the new SC blanket-lined Type 2 yet - SC15210?
It’s a good price. I just can’t justify another denim jacket so I’ll live vicariously through you.
Hey come on mate, time to stop living vicariously, especially on a day like today - it's your birthday ffs. Just have more alcohol and then drunk -buy a TTS fit size model only to be uber-regretful the following morning
On a more serious note - At least the lining content is at last(!) true to the Troy Mills wool/rayon/cotton mix type blanket linings used in vintage denim jackets between c.1930 and the mid 1970's.

Already is one Chaz.. search ‘man stain on jeans’
Think that's more of how to remove man -milk stains from jeans, as opposed to the celebration/ showboating of said stains as an improvement of the jean aesthetic.

no probs; beware: Beachy Head has a real steep decline at its apex if I recall: not something you want anything with wheels too near...
Good advice - l remember what happened at the end of Quadrophenia.

This roundabout is about 40 minutes drive from me and it's the easiest roundabout to negotiate in the world. In fact, you dont have to go round anything, just point your car where it wants to go and sort of drive in a straightish line. Job done

On hold - CSF S406XXX
Faithful replica of the S506XX made during WW2, manufacturered in the summer of 2016 by the Conners Sewing factory. This jacket is an earler rendition of the s506xx repros made by CSF - The 'One Rock' tab and inside stamp ( jacket '#101' ) are evidence of this. Other unique features are the one piece sleeves and a T-back construction, which are rarer on original s506xx than the usual two piece grafted sleeves and single panel backs.
The jacket has been gently worn and loved but has a whole lifetime still ahead of it. But it's not getting much love from me, so maybe it's time to pass it on? Beautiful denim only just starting to crock in some places.
Approx measuements are:
Pit to pit (pleats not extended) = 22"/56cm
Shoulder to shoulder = 20"/51cm
Shoulder to cuff = 24 3/4"/63cm
Collar seam to base = 24"/61cm
Still a bit of shrinkage left maybe as it's only had a few hot soaks and 2 machine washes with 1 proper spin (?)
Price is £280 plus postage/shipping to wherever you live.
Thanks for looking!

Seling my CSF WW2 jacket so took some indoor photos but thought l'd put some of them in here too in case it does sell, you know, for posterity's sake. If it doesn't sell, it's not the end of the world. I'm happy with it, it fits me over a tee now the pleats have been busted, but my other type 1's get more wear, so seems a shame to let it languish, mostly unworn.
Now sold

You never have a morning where you accidentally sleep in until 5:06 or 5:07?
No, a proper lie-in is awake at 5:57

^Yes Neal/ @Double 0 Soul, a modern version of "guess who" would be absolutely massive nowadays in order to accommodate the miryad of possible things that everyone identifies As, plus modern woke peeps would be on your case for marginalizing spectacle wearers and ginger nuts etc. The world (unfortunately) has become one giant clusterfuck.
Incidentally, my 15 year old son and l play chess sometimes when we get together. I'm suprised there hasn't been more of an uproar to change the colours in that game so that they are more diverse or inclusive.

Some quick and dirty snaps of my Warehouse 1922 ( actual model is 1915 'belt loop model) jeans and the 1927 type 1 blouse. Jeans have the initial wash and have had roughly 6 months of wear and the jacket 1-2 months worth if that.
You can see on the jeans by the wear pattern l do alot of sitting or standing (but no 'scooching down' any more so no honeycombes ). Denim is comfy as (...) though.
The jacket is still a little loose but it's great chucked over an old sweat or thick work shirt. Only wear a denim jacket now for short spells so l'm not going to get too excited about Evo as l'm in it for the long haul as usual

Took my WH 20's tux for a spin at work this morning, albeit worn under warmer outer clothing. Minus 5 Celsius but a beautiful sky as l did my rounds, so thought l'd share these pics here..
When l got home l grabbed the axe and split up all the dry logs ready to make room in the wood store for some more ash that l'm going to bring home from work.
Bonus pix of work attire.
