Curious if anyone has any experience or further info on the few repros that Junky stocks. http://item-jkstyle.shop-pro.jp/?mode=grp&gid=109875&sort=p Don’t know if they are old Edwin made pairs or something done through Lee/Wrangler Japan’s archives.

Yeah buttons look like 213, sad story.
-
Nice. My guess is a 213.

Much appreciated, Doc 🫡 Another one I saw yesterday and I just have to post. Photo by Dorothea Lange, from the Library of Congress: San Francisco, Calif. Apr. 1942. Pals at Weill Public School - Yuichi Sumi, left, of Japanese ancestry, and Tommy Wong of Chinese descent, on one of the last days before evacuation of Californians of Japanese ancestry, under US Army Exclusion Order No. 20, Sumi will be housed in a War Relocation Authority center for the duration of the war. A gut-wrenching story that should not soon be forgotten. Yuichi looks to be wearing a crisp 506 (or 213?), or another brand's knockoff. Tommy in a very interesting v-neck sweat, with pockets on the waistband ribbing?

https://youtu.be/zdsGXd5enKg?si=G7dmSw-wW5AsS7Gf Good interview, I enjoy he allowed E to control the narrative. Nice to know i’m not the only one constantly fidgeting with the belt straps. Unrelated but, J79-KI looks promising. Happy to see them using cotton again, does anyone have any feedback on KI?

The reason l think they're a cinchback model is because firstly the arc looks stitched on but there's no diamond in the centre and secondly because the red tab is placed high up almost under the bar-tacking which is generally a feature of the 1937 501XX. Just a guess though - could've had the cinch strap completely removed as well as the other pair? Great sets of photos regardless.

^^^Good to know. I'll look into that.
-
@Lorcan Fantastic taste, I think those 42's might be my next pair

These days, pretty sure you can get induction (or electric) cookers with pretty big built-in batteries that are made to handle an hour or two of heavy draw per day without added stress to the system—could be worth looking into
-
^^^For us the problem is not the increased usage, rather that our system can't handle big current draws without turning on the generator. During the day, sun on the panels will handle most things, but from twilight on it's a different story...
-
I can’t speak to the particulars, but whatever the additional draw is I can say we haven’t really noticed it on our electric bill. That might not be helpful as I’m not sure what sort of rationing you’d have to do. There was already a 220 line next to the gas line that was installed before we bought our house, that was lucky. We did notice our bill change a little when switched to EV and a plug in hybrid (our mileage is generally fairly low, most miles total are electric) - maybe 12-13k a year for spread across two cars.
-
Being in an off-grid situation we're on propane. Like KOTH Hank's barbeque except it's a 500 gallon tank. Used to be affordable. Now it costs a f'in fortune. I've been curious about induction cookers. I suspect they're a big current draw which is problematic for us.

First pic is making me feel good about getting a narrow width embossed western belt from Codina kinda specifically to wear with my Sugar Cane 42s 🤠

Back on the 13.7 oz which arrived from Bears today. You can see that despite both sizes being a 33 the SS on the right is bigger. Few days ago my wife who hardly ever comments on my jeans/clothes asked me what was up with the back of my pants 😅 The SS just bags too much on me unfortunately
