Anyone here recognize these? Def. MP-series, but I don't think I've ever seen those rivet backs. The bar tack on the fly is also throwing me for a loop; I think that rules out the 597 or the 603. (Anyone here a size 26?)

@chicote Their sizing supposedly varies quite a bit between lasts. I’ve had good experiences emailing them in the past to confirm—but also each of their product pages generally lists a suggested foot length range for each model, which I’ve found to be reliable

@Alec Leamas Yeah, those ones are built like tanks. The soles themselves are wearing through near the heels, so I need to figure out how to replace those, but otherwise they're in great shape.

The Flat Head SNK-01 Great kicks, would get another pair if I could. Buttery soft leather and solid construction. Not worth MSRP (at least for my use case), but they used to show up on Yahoo pretty regularly for like 50% off and at that point it was hard to complain

Mill Reef Gallop Oxfords, got these from Canvas in late 2020 Really cool shoes but they didn’t hold up great. Main complaint is the rubber at the heel coming delaminated and flapping around within just the first year or so; they haven’t seen a ton of wear since then

Old Nigel Cabourn joints, got them on sale from Speedway in maybe 2018 Really like the discoloration of the canvas at high-sweat points, and the way the tongue has held creases and the laces have worn through the taping

I’m really jealous of those. Passed on them when they came out because I was tired of Warehouse’s tiny + flimsy pocket bags and didn’t want to commit to another pair, but I saw them in S&S a few months ago and was surprised to see full-length bags made from a nice medium weight bull denim…they were all out of my size, though, as was everyone else by then. Oh well—your pair’s looking fantastic @olmecasteve

A few months ago, Buyee stopped charging any package consolidation fee, which has been a great improvement (even though the fee was never huge to begin with). Now it’s easy to just wait until I have 3–4 things in their warehouse then bundle them together; international shipping has been much cheaper this way -

@rodeo bill Thanks! Yeah, that was an attempted cyanotype exposure—Prussian blue, in Tender Co. language??—on a very old cotton handkerchief. We were working with a pretty limited setup at the cabin and the batch pictured there didn’t actually turn out…oh well Here are some long-time wall hangings made with the same recipe, though: jasmine + household trinkets on old selvedged cotton muslin
