I was only suggesting that in my opinion mostly any shirt WILL work with a variety of different pant and footwear options, not that you HAVE to have a different pant or footwear option. Meaning, as I mentioned before, it probably just comes down to finding a shirt you love.
You might find a beautiful western denim shirt and wear that every day and be more than happy, but for MY personal taste, that same shirt might be a "once in a while" type of thing. You know what I mean?1 -
Thats kind of a funny question, what I mean by that is.. its just a shirt and I think either could easily be worn a few times a week, with different pants, different footwear etc. I think the biggest factor that would play into getting multiple wears a week out of a shirt, is finding a shirt that you really love and dont want to take off
(but i like the bottom one better)1 -
Beautiful piece. (extra points for that engraved hardwear, that looks so nice). I probably will not personally buy because I am on the hunt for boots right now, but I hope some other people get it so I can see some photos of it in the wild. Maybe the perfect piece to add a spicy little change to our typical denim wardrobe

Ah! Perhaps I will have to scratch that idea as well because it seems to be sold out in my size

Thanks for the heads up @bartlebyyphonics ! Although it is not the pair you linked, i did find a pair on the Aero website that i quite like. Can anybody speak to their quality? The price point is deffinitely favourable

@Critical Observer Ive actually circled back to those quite a few times. I really do like the way they look for the most part, and I would really like to support S&S as they always treat me great when I do business there but Im just not sure if I can convince myself to live with the very visible brown sewing on the toe, and if I did convince myself to accept the brown, Im not sure I could convince myself to spend $1000 on a boot that took that much work to convince myself of.
I will be the first to admit that I am so very picky when it comes to a footwear, far more than any other piece of clothing and this will not be any easy task2 -
Is it just me, or is it nearly impossible to find a boot that you entirely like?
The vintage boot that Ive always worn has lived a hard life and is in desperate need of retirement.
The only boot that Ive seen in any of my recent memories or hunting that strongly appeals to me is one by Sanders Japan, but I think it was only available at ClutchCafe and is sold out of my size.
Any suggestions?

I find this stuff to look like it came from an Urban Outfitters or PacSun or H&M type store. I really do hate it

@Topnotcher that would be lovely! I have my suspicions that a 33 might be my size of choice in the 500, so seeing some real measurements on those would be perfect

@volvo240thebest do you know if this will be a limited edition kind of thing? Or just a new addition to the TCB lineup

Whats up with the Lot 126 @Saisen ? What is the cut like? The inspiration? 40s? 50s? 60s?

I also am a fan of the pocket placement. OR we could put them up on the chest and look likea brown version of the other 40 jackets we all own! Its ok for this one to be a little out of the ordinary

Very good fit @MJF9, definitely appreciate the hat. I was actually just thinking this morning that somebody should start a Hat & Cap thread. I think maybe you should do the honors and give us some more photos of this one!

Coming up on 9 months of owning my Wide Tapers.
Unfortunately I did not count the actual days in these but I know for sure that I did not wear jeans as much this year as other years. I feel like I spent my whole year in my work clothes and work boots, or at home in sweatpants with the new baby.
But that is besides the point, I love these jeans so much. Me and my girlfriend are planning a trip to England in April, and I am hoping to pick up another Dawson pair or jacket while Im over there

2 sizing related questions, on two different brands from me today, on a damn roll! (maybe going to buy myself a Christmas gift).
Taking a long hard look at the FC 0105 in the 13 oz denim. Does anybody know where I might be able to locate a sizing chart for the raw version of these? Okayama Denim seems to only have the One Wash chart posted.
Second question, I read a couple times on the FC topic that you guys were recommending to go 1 size down from your usual waist size of other brands. Is everybody still finding this to be true?
And last but not least, How much shrinkage should one expect to see in the leg length of the Full Count denim?
Sorry for posting the same ol same ol questions (and honestly, it is highly possible that I will end up answering these for myself seeing as I am currently a full year back in the pages of the FC thread creeping on old posts) but Im trying to find the answer in a timely manner incase I feel obliged to take advantage of the Black Friday sale at Okayama Denim0 -
Does anybody happen to have or know where to find a measurement chart for the Pherrows 500? I would really like to get a pair, but am not having any luck at all finding measurements

Those look like a great fit ! Certainly not what I was expecting when I saw you mentioning “3 sizes up” and “anti fit”
Those turned out lovely!
