Finally did it! 

Ordered my first pair of Dawson today.

I decided to get the Wide Taper fit, was stuck between choosing that or the regular Wide fit, but went for the Wide Taper mostly because I havent really seen anybody wearing that one yet.

Very excited to get these in my hands over the next few weeks

Whats everybody thinking about these new overalls?

Any information?

They look quite similar to a pair of Belafonte and a pair of Atlast overalls that I have been very seriously considering lately

Hrm! If that is the case.. they have my perfect size. I guess I should email and get a measurement check! As of now my only source of measurements was one Rakuten store

Very cool store! I havent heard of this one. Thanks for the information. Unfortunately, it seems as though Pherrows run very small, from the measurements that ive seen, it seems as though I’ll need to size up atleast 2 sizes. A 32 or 33 insted of my usual 30

Personally, I think that fit looks great! I guess it all depends on what kind of silhouette that you are aiming for, but I think that looks good!

I currently have but 1 pair of jeans in my collection that I do not even enjoy (Stevenson Overall 727) because while moving a few weeks back i sold everything except my TCB 20s contest pair. Now that Ive sent back my 20s and am not getting another pair, I am stuck for what to get.

Frankly, I am feeling a little bit burnt out. Ive been browsing every online denim store and forum I can think of trying to find what I want next, but I feel like I am looking at the same 40 pairs of very slim jeans (thats cool, Im just not really into that cut any more and am trying to move into something different) and its become a little discouraging.

Ive got a few ideas, but nothing I have been able to fully commit to.

Dawson Denim Wide Leg Jeans or Wide Taper Jeans? - they look gorgeous, and in most of the photos I see of them, they fit everybody very well and have a great look. The only slight barrier for me is that they are deffinitely at the top of my price range as they will cost me around $500 Canadian by the time I get them

Atlast & Co? - deffinitely interested in these. These are mostly what peaked my interested into wider fits and all of their silhouettes look really fucking good, but the difficulty of trying to get a pair of these as a Western.. I feel its nearly impossible. So I havent gotten these yet either

Pherrows 500sw? - these also look like one that I would be into trying. I follow a fellow on IG who wears these and they look very good on him. These are less of a wide cut than the other two, but would still work for the silhouette that I am looking to achieve. The price point on these is VERY friendly seeing as most places have them for around $200 Canadian dollars. 1 gripe I have with these is that they come with a very long inseam, and cant seem to find a place that sells them and also offers hemming. Is there a North American store who would let me mail these in for a hem job?

I dont know if this is a cry for help, a complaint, a discussion or a stream of conciousness.. but there you have it hahaha

We.... dont have a ups or fedex in my town hahahah. I live in a small 18,000 person town now which is also a big part of the problem. I ended up just shipping it via Canada Post.

Also, was not saying that as to make a huge deal or be bitter! Just thought it was an interesting little update

$93 was the cheapest option offered to me that included tracking. 6 business days.

The option cheaper than that was ground delivery for $40. 2-3 months

If anybody wants to feel better about their day.... it just cost me $93 to mail the jeans

What is everybodys opinion on buying a used pair of jeans?
 I mostly had a pretty hard "nope, not into it" stance up until lately, as I was very attached to the feeling of getting a fresh pair and doing the initial soak and all of that jazz, but as of lately, I have been trying looking a lot at Yahoo Auctions and there is a ton of good stuff but obviously already used.

I am currently kind of lacking in the cash department, and once I send these TCB contest jeans back to Japan, I'll be left without ANY jeans in my possession. What I really want as my next pair of jeans is the Dawson Denim "wide taper" jeans, but seeing as they are around $450, it might be a little minute before I could grab those. My thinking is that maybe I could spend $100-200 and grab a used pair of something fun to wear in between pairs.

What is everybodys thoughts on wearing somebody else's jeans? Mostly just looking to open up a discussion on this topic for the hell of it
