What's up with Errolson's Instagram story? Is 5/5 the next apparel release, or the rumoured sunglass release?Nevermind, I've just read the comments on his post.

Imo, stotz pants always have a better fit than dryskin.
and stotz feels equally, if not more, comfortable as dryskin.
the only issue for me is fading.
I personally feel that it really depends on the design, but I am a sucker for the Stotz.

curious, what's your height ? do you normally go for M ?
Pretty sure he meant “S” as in Stotz, not small.

It's terrible to admit but the system may have successfully conditioned me the more i think about it. I feel relieved that some stuff sits and I can actually read about it before buying (barring the odd hype item) despite the high prices...and now I look back, I don't think i've bought any other clothes apart from the odd bit of acronym for something like 2 years now. In my head this translates to less items of a higher quality and a more adult approach to clothes shopping ...but i'm sure this is just horrendous self-justification for the fact i'm still as addicted as ever and the gear still gets me more psyched than anything else out there whatever twists they put into the retail model
I already know that if that strange new FO-esque J1A ever makes it through testing I'm ready to drop an obscene amount.

Fully agree, but you could argue that we've regained a sense of "control", whilst ending up paying roughly the same as we would have if we were forced to buy sold out pieces from a reseller.
Anyway, all just debates and random musings whilst we patiently wait for our next hit...

I hope you're right too @segue.
I sometimes wonder whether the recent price increases were part of a strategy to defuse the resale market (if they were, then it's been a success). But I do doubt it, as Errolson does seem to enjoy the hype.

Does anyone even profit substantially at all reselling with the current retail prices?
On a serious note though, I'd say it depends on the piece. From what I can see the majority of the new pieces from SS18 onwards are selling for a significant discount to retail. Resale on the classics (eg. J1A) seem to be increasing, whereas a handful of nouveau classiques (P30, J74) command a decent premium. But I don't think that true resellers, especially not those that purchase bulk on credit and have to pay interest prior to the sale, are making margins that justify the effort.
As @moneytalks rightly says, it's a bloody mission to go through just to get an odd $100-200 profit.

For me it's a strict self-sustaining 'one goes out, one comes in' mentality (although often, in reality, more comes in than goes out! )
Hahha, I know this feeling so well... "Ok, you've got what you need, if you want a new piece, it has to replace an existing piece... Wait - where did this big pile of spec sheets come from?"

This might be a stupid question, but what is the overall cost of the J36-S stateside (including shipping and customs)?

WTS*P23A-S // BLACK // MEDIUMGently worn under 10 times, and like new, sans patina, stains or piling**Asking 1,216.91 GBP (what I paid) excluding feesShipping's on the house for the European fam (that still includes you, UK), and mates rates for the rest of you* I mean, if you have a pair of minty fresh P10-CH in night/XL lying around, this could potentially read "WTT"
** I'll re-confirm condition after a thorough examination this evening, but pretty confident in this statementSold.

Here are some real measurements for the J36-S in LARGE, as well as a basic bitch fit. Apologies for the quality... Sufu does some serious compression.
If you need any particular measurements, let me know and I will add.
1/2 chest:
1/2 waist:
Shoulders, measured edge-to-edge (probably a little off, as this is quite difficult due to Errolson's magic seamstress skills:
Shoulders, part two:
Sleeves, measured at pit:
Sleeves, measured at elbow:
Sleeves, measured at cuff:
Fit, layered over tee and S18-BR (183cm, 54cm 1/2 chest, ~45cm shoulders, ~18cm deltoid):

I'm keeping mine, what's the issue?
No issue... Just wasn't bowled over by the nylon. Was wondering what the rest of the community thought of it.

Does anyone have feedback on the P10A-E's?
I picked up 2 pairs, but have only tried them on thusfar, and am still deciding whether to keep them. My initial thoughts on the nylon was a pass, but having tried on the black pair today, it's starting to grow on me.

@skycrawler @lopiteaux appreciate the input. will have to give it a test run come fall since spring is in full swing and stotz can get pretty hot at least for me
Agree! It's a selling point for me as well, as it means that it can be worn in milder weather without the need for additional insulation a la it's GT siblings.

I'm thinking i may just not be a fan of stotz in general and would have preferred it in a nylon non gt rendition like the p10a-e's. imo stotz jackets stack weird in the arms
Received mine in RAF last week, and really like it. I wouldn't say that the design is one of my favourites - certainly, before I had it under hands, I wasn't jonesing for a J36 - but after a couple of wears it has really grown on me. I'm a huge fan of Stotz for jackets.
To call out particular points:
- The cut is a little strange at first. It fits slim, but not overly so, and it feels like the jacket widens ever so slightly towards the bottom, but this is nit picking, and not noticeable after a couple of wears. The more I wear it, the better it sits. Lengthwise it's great for those of you with some of the longer ACRONYM shirts/vests, as the widened hem really allows these to drape well underneath.
- The arms are quite tight, which for me renders the hitch tabs useless. I tried taking a snap for the thread to demonstrate the functionality, but couldn't really get the sleeves rolled up over my forearms. This is not the case with my J28, which I regularly hitch.
- The map pocket is good, and the layout really functional. It's extremely easy to access, as @skycrawler mentions. Personally, I prefer the J28's velcro system to the zip, as the latter is still a little difficult to smoothly open with one hand. I'm sure this will butter up with use though.
- Echoing @junkie_dolphin, I think they didn't quite stick the landing with the cuffs. The "female" velcro is such a short patch relative to the size of the cuff, that I have to tie it a lot looser than I'd prefer, otherwise I end up with only a centimetre (or less) of connection. Not the case on my other jackets, where I can pretty much create a tourniquet.
- The hood is fantastic. I love the Infinium, in look, feel and function, and I think it's a really clever design to use such a lightweight hood in the collar, as it lightens it up and minimises the size when packed. I would have preferred if there was a way to hitch it on the ends as well as the middle, as I've found it sometimes balloons out, but this is not really worth mentioning.
- The magnetic fidlock and snap on the collar are great, and hold the jacket in place really well. I've stayed clear from only using the snap, as I feel this exaggerates the first point I mentioned.
- The 3D collar is great in Stotz. It's high, but less so than the J28, so looks less aggressive in that sense. It holds its shape really well, with the hood out or stowed.
- Did I mention the Stotz? Absolutely love it. In my opinion it is just such a high quality fabric, both in terms of look and feel. I wore mine in moderate rain this weekend, for a 30min walk, and to say it held up well is an understatement. Water beads off of it, and at no point did the fabric even darken with water absorption. I'm not so sure I'd wear it in torrential rain, but I would feel confident in using it in heavy rains for shorter periods of time. I certainly it's good enough for a "what if it rains" jacket.
- The RAF sling is a nice touch - I would have preferred it if the zips were coloured to match, as they've done with the J47TS.
- Not that this is a selling point, but for what it's worth, it's a very popular piece. I've received a lot of compliments on it, from people that know the brand/style, and people that don't. Even those who usually chuckle at my unhealthy desire for pockets seem to be convinced by this one, and have expressed interest in picking one up as well.
Verdict: I'll be holding on to it for a while, certainly through summer and fall, but am still undecided as to whether it's a piece for the permanent collection.
Sorry for the scattered, and sometime useless thoughts!
