  1. He's doing that here. From 09:50 on: 34 and 36. I have the 51 in W33. The are a bit tight, kind of slim straight. Recently got them in 36. Very comfortable to wear and not too big.
  2. From 06:30 on the guy tries on the 47s in three different sizes: 34, 36 and 38. Interesting to see. While I've been wearing mostly 34 in jeans and 42 in jackets for a not tight, not wide fit, in the last year I've been getting some pants in 36 and some jackets in 46 and both work quite well IMHO.
  3. Apparently there are only a handful of vintage war jeans with flannel pockets. TCB has just started a pre-order for their new pair. They found a pair with different ones.
  4. The grizzly boots with the rubber sole to me are basically barefoot shoes. I always take out the insole with the raised part in the middle/arch support.
  5. Probably true for most financial investments like stocks.
  6. I wear Red Wings in 10, Alden Barrie in 10.5. I got some Quodys (Grizzly boots) in 10. But they are tight. 10.5 would be better.
  7. Has anyone understood the system behind that labeling? I thought it might have been the denim and in brackets the cut. But then there are 1001xx(1000) 1947 and 1001xx(1000) 1953, I think.
  8. I think, a 34 would fit you well. My equivalent to your 41.5cm is 44.5cm. I got the 50s in 34 and they fit well overall but are quite tight in the waist and hip. 36 would have been better for me.
  9. Sure. That's what makes them so special and merits the release of a model of that vintage.
  10. Regarding the classification, it seems that there are two halfs in 1942. The FW model references the early half, with still cinch and coin pocket rivets present, while for example the Warehouse 1942 model is based on a pair of the later half of 1942, with painted arcuates, no coin pocket rivets, denim cloth pocket bags (sleaks?), but still with the crotch rivet. Also the denim is coarser ralready.
  11. I'd say, that the BR Orig Spec fit a bit smaller. The 36 is closer to the WH 34. I think. It might be a bit bigger. But very similar. I got the Orig Spec in 34, but then got a pair in 36, which I prefer as it is more comfortable.
  12. The TCB looks good. The SDA one is nice, but on the slim side.
  13. Do we know, when Levi's had used raised belt loops and when not? Was this only in the war models? I had a look at the pics on the TCB website. On the vintage 30s (on the bottom) we can see, what looks like raised belt loops. For the 40s/WWII model I can't really tell. In the first and last picture, they look raised. In the second one they look flat. I think, the text on the left in the second picture says, that they are raised (中高). Not sure, though.
  14. Yuketen Semi Handsewn Maine Guide Ox DB FO Quatro US 10.5 New in box Only tried at home. I wear the main guide boots in 10.5, but these fit a bit differently, a bit bigger for me. EUR 495+ shipping.
  15. Warehouse Lot. S1003XX 1942 DSB W33 L32 These are unfortunately a bit too small for me. Cold washed, so certainly more shrink in them. They are new, only tried on after a cold wash. They have some cool details among others: painted on arcs copper fly buttons denim pocket bags Approx. measurements: Waist- 44,5cm Front Rise- 31,5cm Back Rise- 43,5 cm Thigh (at crotch)- 33cm Hem Width- 22cm Inseam- 85cm EUR 199+ shipping
  16. They look very good. Coin pocket also seems to be placed higher. Probably lots of other characteristic details. How would you compare them to the FW 1937 and the TCB 30s C?
  17. The Denim Manual like new condition EUR/US$25 incl. shipping (for known users) or best offer
  18. @Alec Leamas Nice Is that snuff suede?
  19. I think, it depends on how you want to wear it. As you have probably seen for example for size 44-48 the back length and sleeve length is the same. I used to wear 42 in jackets, which - as I gained a bit of weight- is a rather tight fit now. 44 would probably be standard. But I got this one in 48 for a more comfy, little oversized fit. I was a bit worried, that with a warm wash the wool lining might shrink more than the denim, so I washed cold. But I also saw, when I got the jacket that the lining is quite loose, so even with a warm wash (possibly hot wash) it should not get too tight.
  20. I see. Original spec then. Yeah, Junky has special colours like camel in these.
  21. Which ones are the 1930s ones? The original spec? Or is there another type besides the 42 and 45? And which colour?
