  1. This is from Freewheelers Ironall Factories. Co Lot 100 Denim Jacket, 10oz denim
  2. I had tried to get some understand of the different denims and their nomenclature. I had a look again and I think these are basically the main fabrics: 1. Dead Stock Blue DSB/WWII it seems to be indicated by „(1000XX)“ There are two weights a) pink selvedge- 13.5oz. 7.5x7.5 examples: Lot 1001XX(1000XX)【1947MODEL】 b) pink selvedge- 14oz. 6.7x6.6 strong vertical fading examples: Lot S1003XX(1000XX)【1942MODEL】 S1001XX(1000XX) 1946MODEL Lot S1000XX 25th Anniversary S1001XX(1946) 2. New Denim/WWII Denim orange selvedge 6.7 x 6.6 (ca. 14oz, sometimes described as 14.5oz) example: Lot.DD-1003XX NEW DENIM 1946 MODEL 3. Banner/Three State 13.75oz 7x7 examples: Lot 1001XX Lot DD-1001XX(1947 MODEL) Lot 900XX 4. Memphis Cotton 14.5oz 6x6 examples: Lot 800XX(STANDARD) Lot 1001XX HEAVY OUNCE edit: Hmm, there seem to be two kinds of WWII denim: DSB and new denim. Not really sure. But the pink vs. orange selvedge seems to be the difference.
  3. Yes, you can find it in many shops. In this thread, ten years ago or so ;-), somebody wrote about it. Chore coats or coveralls are really a classic item and have somehow not gotten so much attention it seem to me.
  4. Bumping the thread as Jelado is issuing a chore coat/coverall. A few more current options: Edwin/Lee Flathead Sugar Cane Orslow 50s 40s TCB Cathartt Chore Coat Workers Cat Day Coverall
  5. Yes, looks really good. Lee, licensed from Edwin, in Japan also has a 91-J Loco jacket. This one at 11.5oz jelt denim vs. the 10.5 light ounce Last Resort denim that Jelado are using for their 491J. Both seem to refer to models from the 40s. https://lee-japan.jp/features/archives_lm6512_pc.html
  6. Perhaps this. WH 1936- preorder https://item.rakuten.co.jp/rogues/wh_1004xx1936_23s/
  7. Selling this Heavy Twill Ombre Flannel Shirt in Navy XL NWT (in the sales thread)
  8. Selling this Sugar Cane XL Navy HEAVY TWILL OMBRE CHECK WORK SHIRT AGED MODEL All infos here: https://store.toyo-enterprise.co.jp/shopdetail/000000002013/ NWT- EUR 160+ shipping from Germany
  9. These are particularly great. Also Lone Wolf seemed to have stopped production or doesn't even exist anymore. Did LW ever issue this Carpenter in rough out with the other sole, the Cat's Paw? Or only with the white Vibram?
  10. When I bought mine on YahooAuctions a few months ago there were quite a number of hardly worn pants on offer. Many between US$80 and 140.
  11. I hope you're also all getting your coffee beans in chain stitched bags.
  12. This is how the olive in 32 fit me. The 34 is more comfy.
  13. Yep, not wide, not long. I find them a good size. Great sturdy fabric. The rise is a bit higher, but fine, not excessive.
  14. When it's really hot I like to wear the FW M-1942 shorts, khaki and olive HBT. Very happy with them. Hopefully they get released again. The Wild One stil has the khaki in 32 and olive in 30, I saw. I have the khaki in 34 and the olive in 32. The 32 is a bit tight.
  15. Thank you. I was looking specifically into the SDA repro, the 4187. That seems to be very slim. Some repros keep the sleeve and back lengths with the sizes 44 and above, just increasing the chest and shoulder widths. With the SDA one for the longer sizes it seems that back lengths and sleeves also get larger. So, I'm not sure about the fit. It looks pretty cool and has a fair price.
  16. Does anyone have a Storm Rider Jacket, blanket lined? Apparently they fit very slim. Anyone got a 46 or even 48? If so, does the length stay the same compared to say the 44 or do they get longer with each bigger size?
  17. According to Celluloid these Big E seem to fit quite big. They still have some 33, 34 and 36. https://www.celluloid1984.com/?pid=174462422 【W34】ウエスト内周-95cm ワタリ-33cm 前股上-32cm 股下-90cm 裾幅-22cm
  18. I've got some jeans where the fabric above the fly (not sure, how that's called) is not staying flush on top, but kind of twisted. Not sure, if you mean that. But I think the reason for that, in my case, is, that the jeans are too tight for me. Or perhaps something else is the reason. Those jeans also have very pronounced whiskers due to the denim fabric getting pulled to the sides.
  19. Thanks I had read that, but it didn't have the info I was looking for.
  20. Thanks I had that happen with two sanforised denim jackets, too, that they shrunk a bit. With the linings it can vary, some linings are more cotton, some poly and some predominantly wool, (which I'm looking at now) and thus shrink differently. I'd also think, that wool would shrink more than denim with a warmer/hot wash. Not sure, if the lining would suffer then if shrunk taut and thus under pressure. It will probably stretch again. Don't know. The TCB Storm Cats Drive jacket is probably also raw (edit: it's one wash). https://tcbjeans.stores.jp/items/656540bff55a3005bb703691 Also this one from Sugarcane, which is mostly offered in O/W, but can also be found in N/W. https://store.toyo-enterprise.co.jp/shopdetail/000000001304/
  21. What are people's experiences with shrinking wool blanket lined denim jackets? Will the lining shrink more than the denim with a hot wash?
  22. A very interesting video. For the 46 Nihon Menpu constructed a new shuttle compared to the one used for the 47 fabric. With that it is lower tension and the production output per day is even lower.
  23. Like most here I don't need anymore jeans, but find this repro project so meticulously done and also nicely documented, that I wanted to supported it and also got one.
  24. Ol Shanks looks really nice. Michiya Suzuki really does a great job. I found Mr Okuyama from Fukurokuju very friendly. There is just the waiting time. But you might be lucky and he has a pair in your size in stock. But I don't think, that horse hide is standard. But perhaps he can also offer that. Makers and Attractions/Biltrite are also great looking. As of course also Clinch.
