  1. Anyone had their 1942s come through the post yet? Calling @Broark @Dr_Heech
  2. Measurements are very similar for the 42 and 44 above Chest 55 compared to 54 cm / Shoulders c.50cm on both 42 19.7in = 50cm 42.9 = 54.5 44 20.5 = 52.7 44.9 = 57 As mentioned, the material is stretchy so the measurements could be more variable. The 44 is a touch bigger when worn, no shit Sherlock you say!! I've had lots of Bronson t-shirts before and found them good value for money overall. I'll report back post-wash with these though @indigoeagle yep it's their 1940s USN t-shirt. Interesting button holes you point out... Bronson have them... what were they used for back in the day? And the laces? @Mods - we're now deep in discussion of non Japanese garms on a Japanese garms thread 😉
  3. Just checking the mods are alert!!! 🤣
  4. Got a couple of Bronson bangers in the post today... actually nice they are too... however, what's going on with the rope bondage?!
  5. I have the '43 tux... beautifully wonky it is too... makes a refreshing change from all that straight stitching that has saturated the market 😜 I've worn it down the local supermarket before and Mavis on checkout never batted an eyelid... but that may be because I stood ever so slightly on a slant to make it appear that the box pleats were straight... actually it's probably because there is only us 20 Sufu'ers who ruminate (in a good way :)) on these things While we're chatting... I was at my lad's football semi-final a few weeks ago wearing a FW wabash jacket. One of the parents said 'I'm a bit superstitious... you're not wearing your lucky denim jacket'... I asked him which one... and his response proved to me he thought I only had one and they were therefore all the same WTF 🤯. The sad ending to that story is the lads lost their first competitive game in 2 years that day 😭... the key message I took from it is that, irrespective of the model, all denim jackets can be lucky!! I'll put some '43 tux pics up soon so you can throw tomatoes at it
  6. Ah but SC are only repro'ing that one wonky model so all the repros need to be the same wonkiness proportionately 😉
  7. That's where the modern skill comes in mate

  11. 1933 / 37 set up Jacket hanging around in Malham after a walk Jeans getting some fresh air after a day on my legs - I'm holding on hopefully until mid-summer before they get a wash, see what happens
  12. I heard Freewheelers are thinking of doing a line in incontinent trousers for the ageing population... calling them underalls, like overalls only different
  13. I hope it's going to reappear on Sufu! The wabash I mean (as well as the model... WAYWT is calling you out mate 😉) The cardigan is another beauty... what's up... has global warming reached Scotland??
  14. Freewheelers Ironalls / Butcher Products / Belafonte / Buckweat
  15. ^ especially with all the squats you've been doing pal!
  16. ^ I found the WW2 felt slim too after wearing wide jeans... however, as you said Julian, it didn't take long to swing around and get used to them. I tend to now flip in and out wearing them and all's good, especially as the denim has softened up lots
  17. Thanks gents - confirms suspicions - suppose it'd have to be Easter or December holidays then to fit with school here
  18. To folks in the know... what is Japan like from a weather perspective in July? I'm considering taking the family and we're pretty active. Perhaps 5 days in Tokyo then travelling to 2 other places in Japan to mooch and take in the culture. Climate charts show Tokyo as hot. But is it bearable / ok weather for mooching or not? Any insights on other places that are milder appreciated. I'm conscious weather charts don't tell the full story. Thanks
