Across the board the fit pictures look great, in my opinion. It looks like they work really well on the women taking part, I guess due to the high rise. Glad to see considering all the sizing concerns
If there’s a prize for “Best Fit” the wimmenz will be the strongest contenders cuz the combo of top block ratio + high rise favor them. Hell, they could even pull a sized down.

@Tiro Btw, do u just need the waistband to stretch to raw measurement or u need more?
I got mine way early, so I’ve been tinkering at it due to sheer boredom. I haven’t done an actual wash cuz the combs are a priority at this point, for me. But the waistband, I’ve practically hand-wash twice already & right now it’s pliable ... I got it to raw measurements the last time I tried them on, now I seems waist can go past raw. Caveat, possibility is much better on bigger sizes cuz there’s more material to work with.
Hope they work out for U, mate!

@Broark Awesome! They’re the same measurements as the TCBww2, except the rise.
Thanks, mate!

@kameisenpai super cool!
just put mine out to dry... kind of soon to say but looking at them now, they might be up for sale soon...
the wooden stakes are 43cm.
we’ll see...Haha! Had the infamous indigo hands for days when I briskly agitated the yoke & full length of the waistband at the end of a soak to loosen/soften up the fabric ... good times!

It’s proportionality. I highlighted it cuz that’s the measurement trend, all the numbers is suppose to go higher, from left to the right column.

@Jared Lee That’s clearly an undercut. The waist & thigh measurements shoulda been higher on the [actual]. So, those peeps on the same cut batch must be having the same issue ...

Sooo it seems trading up for a 34 isn’t happening, guess I’ll cold soak over the weekend and wear till dry...
maybe also go for a while without buttoning the top button... :-)
Did u check w/ Ryo if they have some viable returns to exchange with ...

@aho On the softcore side #denimporn, so I’ll have an initial fit photo to establish the starting point. But, it’ll most likely be #flatlay for the 1st half of the denim journey for me

@Mtvare Sorry, it did not work out for u. Yeah, the grim truth is that, if u did some mental calculation based on the size chart provided for a spot on fit on a new denim & a new cut [for TCB] then the possibility diminishes. Anatomy can be a factor, as well. Hope u get a swap or replacement.
Since I never seem to get a good fit on a new pair, anyway, I just future-size ... hoping that if they fit lousy now, they’d be less lousy down the line

Damn! I missed the agoraphobic “Stay Home” cat patch. Can we request at this time. I’ll pay for postage

Sorry, I'm a bit slow. Are you suggesting my pair might work after all?
Did not rep the “slow” part ... just saying that, most who reported back, including myself, are finding that the waist has give.
Mine, was at 35” already after the 3rd soak, unrestrained. Wore them 15mins for fit & re-measured ... 36” on a W36.

Yes the cut are the same so I can't explain it. (In any case maybe @DoitsuJin is right, and I'm just misreading the evidence of the thread.)
It can't be to do with the washing because many (including myself) are finding the raw pairs 2"+ undersize before soak.
Receiving a rigid pair that measured at tagged & the shrink-stretch ratio completely unknown cuz it’s a new denim ... that’s a DEFCON 5 to a denimhead
Fast forward to present, based on user accounts, now we know that overall shrinkage were less than expected & the stretch [at waistband] is to tagged. Catastrophe avert

Prolly triaging an exchange program on their end ... they’re gonna get hit w/ shipping cost, but the least they could do to assuage an uprising0 -

just got my jeans - no fit pics yet cause work. the measurements are smaller than listed but i didn't accurately account for the rise and these may work out after all!
Yup! Because of the longer rise, they sit right on the [supposedly] smallest part of the waist ...

That’s the reason why I double hot-soak [from raw] with a hanger propped on the waistband, cuz it only prevents the waist from shrinkage ... not forced in anyway. Although, I did not need to, this time around.
Popping a button got me started with preventative reinforcement, which has now become a ritual, as mentioned a few pages back.
Jeans are ready ... even trimmed the loose threads along the fly flaps cuz I’m OCD that way ... incidentally, the top button reinforcement patch was a Momo G014-MB cutoff from the last DWC2 contest pair.

Usually do a hot soak X2 before wearing, but had a thought & wanted to see if it’ll make a difference.
So, I did a 3rd soak. This time just warm & after about 45mins, I started agitating the waistband by quadrant w/a bit of force to loosen up the fabric. Kept them soaking for another 1/2hr ... then, hang to dry.Ref: Rigid W36. This morning, I re-measured the waist ... from 34.5” after the 2nd soak to 35 inches, unrestrained ...
@beautiful_FrEaK I remember U showing a vid about hemming a pair of Denime, I think it was .... where the guy rubbed the fresh hems against back & forth ... so, I did [that] before the soak & voila ... roping already started without me23 -
