  1. Past hour
  2. The xx4 denim in my 01’s is soft, but not more than FC’s. It also has formed creases quite well and held them - actually more than almost anything I’ve worn in recent years. Not that I’m usually wearing stuff known for that. I’m probably just at about 2-3 months of total wear on them and only ever did the initial hot soak and hand wash with a good bit of hand agitation. We’ll see what the second wash does, we’re not there yet.

  4. It’s been 3 years since my last update and still too many but I’m getting through them! Asterisk* indicates active wear/in the rotation. 5. V91 sold! p23, p41 and p46 still available
  6. Interesting, mine still seem to have a bit of starch to them. But the denim is very soft no question.
  7. Like I always wash my jeans: an initial soak to make them more pliable and put them directly in the washing machine. 30 °C with low spin. A little bit of detergent.
  8. @beautiful_FrEaK how did you wash your pair? And how many washes so far? I've only done the initial wash via OA's suggested process (warm bath soak, cold gentle wash) and I'm finding the denim to be a little rigid still after a couple of months. Also, it looks like OA will be releasing the vest that they had for sale two Inspirations ago, this time in a 10 oz. denim inspired by Amoskeag Mills (produced by Collect). I think a few people here might have the Cone version, @CSL and anyone else? Interested in your thoughts on it after some time as well as any pictures if it's showing wear. Never been a vest guy, but seeing them wear it it looks pretty cool and functional.
  9. That XX4 denim is a real contender in terms of softest denim I own. Even softer than FC's 13.7oz denim I have to say. Creases set hardly.
  10. Those M1951 Field Jacket and S-8 are looking really good!
  11. +1 for MI. MN is my preferred cold weather state though
  12. I spent five years in NC and I’m never living south again if I can help it. Even DC is further than I’d go haha. (But, better!) I know some people love it. We get 4 real seasons here and it’s one of my favorite things in life. Housing, coming from Austin, would probably seem pretty reasonable too! Winters do get some people down - the sun can go away for a good while. You’ve got to get outside. For me, I like that. Lots of chances to wear all those great jackets.
  13. Between the weight fluctuations and remote working, I've only worn one pair the last few years, the Denime Type 66, McCoy's Era. I haven't made an inventory in a long time, and I'm surprised at some of the pairs I've gotten rid of, like 45rpm, Kapital, Eternal etc. and the ones I've kept. Looks like I went Samurai crazy earlier in my collecting phase, which I'm retired from. 15. @AlientoyWorkmachine another user on here that I chat with a lot has been talking up Michigan, seems like a nice spot. Winters would be a big change but honestly with how brutal the last few summers have been down here it sounds like a nice change of pace. Also have some family moving back to the DC area soon so that's another option. I just want anywhere with four actual, distinguishable seasons!
  16. Oh man that’s a haul and I really feel for the lack of wearable days you’ve got. Michigan would suit you well and then you can even get all the FW Great Lakes gear with the utmost appropriateness. These last few years a lined denim jacket can get you through even a lot of winter days, though that won’t be true in the northern parts.
  17. The top is stitched down, there's a pen holder on the left hand side and there's a cutout in the middle where you can access it. Stole this photo from Brogue:
  18. How’s the left pocket configured on the Blythestone? Hard to tell from photos
  19. I kind of like this table graphic that Denime made, including some of their new models. The auto translation of the description is a bit rough though. I feel like they are trending into Warehouse-style nomenclature, which I find a bit confusing. Most everything is some variation of lot 232 or 233. https://www.instagram.com/p/C7eeN6pv2I-/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link&igsh=MzRlODBiNWFlZA==
  20. @tooth I missed it the first time around back in 2021, and honestly it worked out for the best. The updated model is a bit looser fitting and has the two way zipper which is a nice touch.
  21. @Broark that deck jacket is awesome. I tried it on recently when I was in CA and have been thinking about it since. Nice pick up overall!

  23. Main difference is the denim, the '42 uses the same denim as the S601xx WWII jacket. But the buttons are also different as is the stitching color. And the cinch is coated black / dark silver as opposed to polished silver. And the tab is a bit faded, a bit more washed out pink. Not sure about the pocket specs from a size perspective.
  24. Last Call before I decide to keep it. WTS: Acronym 3A-5 CR Brand New Full Pack $1,999 shipped, PP friends and Family or add 4% goods and services Photos here: https://www.grailed.com/listings/61739127-acronym-acronym-3a-5-cr-interops-einsatztasche-messenger-bag
  25. What would be the differences between the 42 and the 46 506XX? The pocket looks a bit smaller. Buttons were smaller on the 22 and 33 I think, but here it's already the same I think as 46. Perhaps the pleats stitiching are smaller, too. Also the tab is there already.
  26. @mstax I'll take some measurements for you soon, plan is to wash it once I get the jeans in. Raw it feels similar to other type I jackets I have from FW, however I don't own the '47 version. For reference I have the '22, '33 and '45 all in size 46.
  27. Price drop, $400 + fees + ship
