As August usually is here. The dead of summer. All goes sort of quiet because people stay indoors mostly when it’s not dark. It’s been mostly routine stuff - office, baby stuff, sunset dog walks etc. no jeans in site for a month now. Cloud makers. Upside down for some reason decent steak from a few days ago. Also, a friend of mine opened the first denim shop in our parts. Very nice store and much more convenient now that I can go and try on stuff in person and buy it, rather than DM brands on IG about how they measure thigh width. I bought this Pherrows Henley.

Word of Mouth - The Crust & Fades Contest
Hopethisoneisnttaken replied to beautiful_FrEaK's topic in superdenim
Well, for starters - I would surely freeze to death if I’ll wear t shirts and shorts in 12 degrees C. 😅 secondly - 29 degrees with a fan is rough. Cannot imagine dealing with that without AC, especially in your parts where surely houses are built to retain heat rather than to expel it. -

Was kinda shocked to read in some thread or other here that you and double O wear shorts in like 17 c or above? If I had to live like that I’d never get a chance to wear jeans. it’s been 36-37 with ~ 70% humidity for the past week here. All of my jeans have been hung for like a month now. But I hear Texas gets quite hot as well. -

Why is AI in “”? -
Viapiana is (was) kind of the same I think. In concept at least. Very high level product, custom orders, resealable timelines etc etc.

I do something similar with the tcb seaman trousers as the belt loops are so wide. I roll the waist band over the belt.

Does anyone else feel like shoe/boot brands should regularly post the insole length and width to help costumers choose the correct sizing, similarly to how clothing brands post measurements? I feel like with shoes I bought with the knowledge of the insole length I was way less prone to sizing mistakes.

These are beautiful. Kind of wish they still existed.

I completely agree. I just thought the video was nice, cool views, and Roy related

Wasn’t sure if this belongs here or in the unknown non Japanese denim brands: https://youtu.be/ByN9dImZdPA?si=PSvTrLvr5yStGEjJ

Denim Blunders, Reflections and General Nonsense.
Hopethisoneisnttaken replied to cmboland's topic in superdenim
Haha exactly. I think my main objective will be to get around 20 pairs, store them and tell my daughter to sell them in ~ 80 years or so. And keep 5 pairs stashed away for her kids, etc. -

Has anyone else thought about how we might all get to experience WW3 denim first hand? (…too soon?) -
Very good fit in my opinion ^ I think the cinch bit you for the audacity of thinking about not using it.

I’ve tried on a few of their shirts, and have been looking for their 41 trousers in salt and pepper for a while. The quality is there, and I think they do a lot of unique stuff, that other brands don’t even come close to (like their shoes and boots offerings). It seems that most their non core items are sold out pretty quickly, which might be one of the causes to why theyre not as popular as bigger brands.

I think it’s Suzuki everywhere. Couldn’t find a reference on google on Mitsubishi Jimny.

TBH I don’t really know. I know what you mean about the preppy ones. It’s hard to find good ones. I think some of the mister freedom ones are also really cool, but LS. Also Workers have some really cool madras.

Didn’t purchase much in recent times but this bucket hat in brown chambray is much more functional than I assumed it would be. And beautiful fabric. Looking forward to the puckering of the stitches in the future.

This really made me think of your adventures @Double 0 Soul . In a good way of course. That is to say - I’m jealous of the guy and of your biking/camping adventures 😊

Denim Blunders, Reflections and General Nonsense.

00-10 were my skateboarding years. Geoff Rowley was my idol. I had a pair some tight Levi’s and a blue Nike hoody and that’s about all I wore from I think 02 to 05 when they turned into dust. Also had some type of fake baggy jeans with a skater boy embroidered logo. I think they were called X Boy. Oh and canvas belt the length of an anaconda snake. Shoes were mostly Globe /Circa/ DC whichever skating brand was on sale at the skate shops at the time as they would become unwearable within 6-7 months. I miss non of that clothing if I’m being honest haha. -
Even though this is a SC denim thread, this isn’t denim, so please bear with me. (We don’t have a SC other stuff thread. I checked) But the development of this indigo madras from them too good not to share. It was quite dark blue when I bought it about a year ago.

How did that go?

Exchange interest check I’ve a pair of washed once and worn 3-4 times only to find out I suffered a mild case of optimism when choosing size Nuu (formally known as woondsmountain) denim military trousers W21 in size 32. I’m looking to exchange them to a size 34, if anyone happen to have made the opposite mistake I made.
