Not sure if this is appropriate but a heads up that James Dant has 20% off most things with code SECRETSALE24 including some lesser seen in the U.S. Warehouse pieces. I've been wanting the Lot 2202 hunting jacket for quite some time and 20% off with no tax to California pushed me over the edge.

Picked up a couple of Warehouse sweats from Grailed but this grey one just doesn't look good on me, color wise. Lot 404. Label size 42. Fits true to size. Freedom sleeve. Measurements are: Chest 23.5", Length 25", Sleeve 29" (from collar edge to end of sleeve along the top of the arm). Condition is very good More info here:https://jamesdant.com/collections/warehouse-co/products/lot-404-freedom-sleeve-sweatshirt-heather-grey Looking for $70 shipped to anywhere in the CONUS. Would very happily also ship to the UK and do my best to keep postage costs to an absolute minimum if its worth it for anyone, given import duties.

THIS OR THAT? (Use me for all your Should I Buy...? questions)

@CSL I believe they're referring to the new WW2 version. First two links with standard cotton thread. Second two links with thread cut. I have both but am yet to get either of them into rotation. They both look great on first impressions though. https://bears-tokyo.myshopify.com/products/reservation-page-scheduled-to-ship-on-10-25-full-count-s2107w-24-ww2-model-brown-cotton-denim-pants https://bears-tokyo.myshopify.com/products/reservation-page-scheduled-for-shipping-on-10-25-full-count-s2107w-2-1ww2-model-brown-cotton-denim-jacket https://bears-tokyo.myshopify.com/products/full-count-s2107w-24-threads-cut-ww2-model-brown-cotton-denim-jacket https://bears-tokyo.myshopify.com/products/full-count-s0105w-24-threads-already-cut-ww2-model-brown-cotton-denim-pants -
@julian-wolf - ah - that makes a ton more sense. Thank you! I saw the US Forest Service jacket they did and thought it was cool but a bit too on the nose, living in a town within a National Forest - ha. Would like it without the FS stencil, though!

Always really like your outfits. Always curious about Great Lakes? Did a cursory google but didn't come up with too many results. Any more info on this brand?

Ah, my real life worlds colliding on niche internet forums. Have met John a few times at Cub House events and he's always been nice. Jealous that you live in Santa Fe, jealous of the Omnium and jealous of how those 1004s look!

They're two different models in your two photos though. So now which one are we trying to identify 😋 -

Possibly these ED-55s? https://www.heddels.com/2014/09/edwin-japan-x-edwin-europe-ed-55-made-in-japan-denim/ I think I had a pair of these back in the day actually and they look very similar. From SOAS right around the time this Heddels article was published. -

@paulm - My knowledge on Edwin died a long time ago, but as far as I know, Edwin hasn't used that leather patch for quite some time. Could be an ED-55 or an ED-47 with rainbow selvedge.? Based on the leg opening I'd lean towards an ED-55. -
I guess its no different to other designer brands - but at least RO seems to be well made and interesting unlike the dross coming out of other large conglomerate owned fashion houses.

Appreciate this! was tryna find somewhere that had them in stock that shipped to the US. $100 a pop certainly beats $205 from Clutch…!

I've never been able to buy any clothing from MF because it is all too slim fitting for my build, but I did buy this tote in - I think - 2015 - during a trip to Los Angeles, before I moved here from the UK in 2020. Just dug it out and washed it. Here are some photos. Straight outta the wash and some post-dry details. Slightly obvious as to which side rubbed against my torso during daily use for a few years.

With Yuketen specifically, this is kind of where I'm at. Because its not just Yuketen, its Monitaly too. Prices of everything manufactured by Meg Co. (Yuk, Monitaly, Epperson Mountaineering, Chamula) have all skyrocketed in price. I used to be acquaintances with Yuki and have met him several times and so like his brands a lot, but nothing with the product has changed other than its country of origin - with Yuketen specifically. So with this umbrella of brands, it feels a little bit like an exclusivity price rather than the product being 'worth' that amount. https://www.monitaly.com/shop-tops/p/native-vest-sarape $506 for a 'native' vest that is simply constructed of a fabric they've purchased from someone else? My Chimayo was I think $180 from Ortega's in actual Chimayo, NM where the fabric was actually woven and manufactured. Agree on the expensive vs perceived value for sure.

Yeah, super fast any time I've ordered from them. For sure looks better, ha. Dunno why I didn't try that first. I did have to cuff the sleeve as these are pretty long and my arms are pretty short. Having never worn a denim jacket, I'm surprised at how much give these pleats have on the chest. Much more freedom of movement than I anticipated, honestly.

Early 1960s paper tag 2002XX. First time ever wearing a denim jacket. I have mixed feelings so far but just not used to it I guess. This was purchased unwashed from Cultizm on Monday night. In my hands in the middle of nowhere California on Thursday, washed and now it’s dry Thoughts on fit? It feels good so far, but I have very wide hips so knew I’d likely never be able to do anymore than a couple of buttons up…

My uncle was at a Dawson Denim launch party for Graham Marsh and Tony Nourmand's new book yesterday which alerted me to its presence: 'Denim: The Fabric That Built America 1935-1944'. Immediately pre-ordered after he told me about it. Thought it'd be of interest: https://www.reelartpress.com/catalog/edition/245/denim

Yuketen is much the same. I've owned a handful of pairs over the years and still have a couple of them left. I paid $450 for their Angler back in 2020 and they're now $850. I know times have changed but jeez. That particular shoe isn't even made in Maine anymore, but instead in Italy...

@Alec Leamas - I just remembered the black and white profile photo. I checked my DMs (duh me) and it was @Bobbo back in 2019. It was a pair of 700C: https://www.illcutz.com/post/warehouse-co-700c-x-clutch-cafe

I wanna say they don't look as insane in SOAS's photos. But I can't help but feel they may have given them a bit of a trim, ha.
-
Guilty.

@Alec Leamas did I sell you a pair of Clutch x Warehouse limited editions back in 2019 or so? I think I sold them to someone on here. I was based in NYC at the time if that rings a bell. Did you ever put any significant wear on those if it was you?
