  1. Initial impressions are good. They’re perhaps a bit agricultural - QC wise - compared to other $200+ pairs of shoes I own but I guess that’s part of the handmade vibe. They’re already softening up nicely after a couple of hours of wear. I took true to my bannock size (10.5E) and it feels just right. They’re a 10.5D but in reality as they have a natural foot shape, the D is plenty wide. They have zero arch support. Insole is totally flat as a pancake. They smell wonderful. I expect them to last for a very long time and for them to be exceedingly comfy after they’ve molded to my feet. Some photos below. If you had genuinely narrow feet, the C width would probably work better.

Anyone with a smaller waist: https://zenmarket.jp/en/mercariproduct.aspx?itemCode=m46350456303 These 1939 Montgomery Ward's are what started my love affair with Warehouse. Loved the back arcuates of these so much:
  3. Will update in due course. I wanted a pair of Oak Street Country Loafers and turns out they're just rebadged Aurora's but in leathers not offered by Aurora.
  4. Speaking of geography teacher shoes, after seeing a pair of Aurora Shoe Co Middle English clogs at Drake's in NYC and needing some new house shoes, I ended up ordering a pair direct from Aurora. Drake's unfortunately had none in my size - which is a shame as they had a really nice roughout pair. Though in hindsight, not sure if geography teacher or a carpenter from Jerusalem whose been dead for 2000 years.

I don't not like DSB/their other denim but compared to Banner, there's no contest IMO. Maybe its more true to the respective era's or whatever whatever, but their other denim is nowhere near as comfortable or visually interesting as Banner is IMO. I ordered a Banner Type 1 from Bears last week because the 'new' denim used in my five month old 2002XX Early 1960's Paper Tag jacket has not gotten as comfortable as I was hoping it would and I've worn it a lot.... I think I've come to the conclusion that I am only going to buy Banner jeans/jackets from WH going forwards....
  6. Pretty crazy how much texture super smooth has for such a lightweight fabric. This is after a few washes and one tumble dry. Taken in direct sunlight, still pretty damp.
  7. Hard to beat New Balance 574s. Photos online always make them look super clunky but they're not IRL in my opinion. Classic, timeless design that has been around for decades and ignores trends.

What size are you? I have a pair of tag size 36" DD-1946 that still have more than enough inseam length for you. They are 17" across the waist. They're one washed but I've never washed them - so for sure more shrinkage is viable They're already small for the label size. My mum is coming to visit me in April and can definitely take a pair of jeans back with her and post them to you? Just want them to go to someone who appreciates. Yours for the grand price of a tenner donated to Battersea.
  9. I rarely miss England, but that post certainly did it for me. Very nice bike too.
  10. No, the charts for these sleeves are all weird IMO. I am still having to do a half roll on the sleeves.. I don't have super short arms, but do always find that I have to do a half roll with most Japanese sweater. For reference I’m only 5’9” and wide though, so if you’re tall, yeah, this prob won’t work.

Currently in their line up, there’s no true wide jean that I’m aware of - not in the same way that a Full Count 0105 is - at least. Just using that example as I own a couple of pairs of them. But the widest/straightest five pocket jean is a 1953 1001XX I think. Or maybe 1946. Or 1947. Depending who is measuring them - ha.
  12. I have two XL Cushman freedom sleeve sweats in red and navy blue that I’m considering moving. Borderline new condition. Just prefer the way other sweaters fit me. Amazing sweatshirts, just not quite the fit I want. Would like $100 per. Can send photos if anyone is interested. It’s the red and navy to the right of it in this image.
  13. I had a four year denim hiatus during COVID and was wearing primarily pretty oversized everything and basically only bought Engineered Garments/Needles stuff. Started wearing jeans/'heritage' Japanese stuff again in September and honestly feel great about it. It was like coming home. I bought my first pair of proper jeans - Edwin Greensville's from Interstate in Covent Garden - in 2009 when I was 16 and dressed that way until the start of COVID. It just feels right to me. The boxier fit of Japanese clothing fits me better than anything else I've ever worn. The other stuff started to feel too trendy and my current wardrobe feels a bit more classic and timeless. Maybe a bit dad. And I'm okay with that.

The uneven, borderline paralellogram dart stitching really drives home how unskilled those WWII workers really were! 😉 just kidding. Looks great.
  15. Ortega's, J Crew, freshly washed and tumble dried 0105SSW to tighten the top block a bit and reduce some leg length, WFH cheap slips.

1003XX buckle back. Putting these away for a while in anticipation of some new, comfier Full Count's. A few washes. Worn since mid September. But not often till October cause it was too freakin hot in SoCal.
  17. These to anyone in the CONUS for $140. $40 of it going to the Pasadena Humane society. Who I've already donated far too much money to in the past two weeks....
  18. Bump on all the free stuff up thread. At this point I'd just give it away and make a donation to charity myself. Moved back to civilization so am in LA if anyone is around there who wants free shit.
  19. You and me both. They feel super wide for the first few hours then I'm like.. oh - this feels great. Whenever I wear anything other than my 0105SSW, they all feel so tight and rigid by comparison. Overnight I saw that Cultizm had an extra 15% off sale items so just picked up some 1101SSW for a mere $167(!) as well because the Super Smooth fabric is great for SoCal and so comfortable. Think they may replace current daily Warehouse's as this fabric is just magic.
  20. Same same. Triple Warehouse + Oak Street while on a New York work trip. Not pictured: huge coat because it’s effective 10°f today.
  21. 'Free' Stuff! I also have lots of stuff I'd like to get rid of in return for a charity donation of your choosing (+ shipping) to the Kern County Animal Shelter - its my closest shelter and unfortunately a vital resource as there's a lot of people in Kern County on or below the poverty line who are unable to afford to get dogs neutered which leads to a crippling stray problem in Bakersfield and the rest of unincorporated Kern County - where I live. Here's a link to some poorly lit photos of everything. All jeans hemmed to 29"-ish. If there's an item you're genuinely interested in, message me and I can take measurements. Unless dry-clean only (Jelado/Post O'Alls) or a jacket, everything will be laundered and lint rolled before being sent out. Rough description to match photos in chronological order with label size - if not listed, it’s gone: Monitaly Sample Jacket - 40 - Large - No buttons on sleeve cuffs Beams vest - Medium Monitaly Chore-ish Jacket - 40 - Large Pherrows Lot 500 - 34" Warehouse Duck Digger DD-1001XX 1946 - 36" Burgus Plus Lot 928 - 36" Stevenson Overall Co Lot 340 - 32"
  22. Will also sell the Full Counts up thread for $150 shipped.
  23. Trying to have a clear out before moving. Anyone want these 10D Oro Shop Mocs? I think I wore them about five times. I just want rid of them. I think I paid $320 after tax a few months ago. They’re too narrow for my platypus feet. $120 shipped.
  24. You and me both. Went out in just a sweatshirt and jeans and was far too warm. Like that tee a lot.
