Exceptional!

Does anyone have any idea how small of a production run this actually is? I live ten mins away from the Pasadena Civic Center and am rather taken by the cotton duck pieces.... but wouldn't be able to get to Inspiration til the Saturday.

I really like SS, but surprised they made these in SS, honestly. My oldest pair of SS are aging nicely and has a surprising amount of puckering, but just seems like the wrong denim for a 1937. Red Cast already have them but $300. Feel like that means closer to $400+ in the U.S. based on previous pricing of other models.

Thanks guys. William sent me a really helpful reply to a couple of questions but they aren't gonna work for me from a measurement perspective.

Dang, @ATWM and @julian-wolf making me want a pair of those Tenders. I am in the market for some new glasses. What is the lens quality like? Very much settled on Goodr glasses for hiking/running/cycling but need something nice for casual. Having lived in England for the first 25 years of life, glasses and a cap were never needed. But out here, man. Very much a necessity.

My much younger sister also did both of those locations in those years and is doing Snowdonia in the summer! But she goes to an all girls school so unlikely they know each other. Maybe they crossed paths!

I got lost on my bronze award back in.. god... 2006? My group left our parents waiting at a church in the Surrey Hills for about 5 hours. I get why, but not allowing kids to take a phone with them was stupid from an emergency perspective. Its not like you could do anything with a Sony Ericsson in 2006 anyway!

Food for thought. Thanks everyone. Ended up ordering some dark brown suede ivy loafers from Morjas. For sure wearable with more than just a suit which is what I wanted. Would've liked the Drake's Charles loafer in dark brown suede but too rich for my blood.

All fair points @ATWM - it’d be less about trying to dress jeans up - I agree that looks a bit shit - and more just leaning into wearing a pair of loafers very casually. and yeah, I’ve had some AE tassel loafers before and they were great. Gonna go check out their factory section right now. I struggle with loafers though - 95% of them are so ugly.

Not a brogue guy anymore unfortunately. Have a pair of Trickers x Engineered Garments brogues and not my vibe. Similarly, spending several hundreds of dollars on one time a year shoes just doesn’t make sense to me. I had a pair of Color 8 shell Alden Long Wings and some Moc Bluchers. They both went well with jeans or a suit, but too small… Good shout on Moto @julian-wolf - this is just the kind of thing versatility I was hoping for. Their #2510 and #2511 - or something similar - would work perfectly.

I am wearing a double breasted, very dark navy Super 110s wool suit to a wedding in April. I need new shoes as all of my old dress shoes are too small for me now - COVID returned my feet back to their natural width... Any suggestions on something formal enough to wear with a suit that is casual enough to wear without? Thinking very dark brown horsebit loafers, but wondered if the hivemind had any other ideas. Happy to spend if it means I can wear them with other outfits.

Amen. I live 20 minutes away from Railcar. I have taken a few pairs of jeans to be hemmed there at this stage and they're good. Appropriate cotton thread colour matching, a nice chainstitch, nice people. But their jeans own garments are... kinda meh. They also stock Naked and Famous and they're similarly meh. Just do nothing for me. Which is a real shame, as I'd love to support a business down the street from me but their own clothes leave me feeling cold.

Too late to cancel? Unless Hinoya have an exclusive, there's no reason to pay the Hinoya tax: https://www.takeoff-clothing.com/item_detail?item_id=4744

The whole catalog is available here for SS25. Looks good. https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1EfnG6PSidiheVHcDCJUynAr-4J9yIi1s

Thanks pal. and bears just say you can reserve by DMing them. Says ‘they may be available this year but they may be delayed. We may have enough stock to cover all orders, we may not’. Something of that ilk.

From the limited photos, it certainly looks very similar to the S1003XX in the photo above your post lol - but brown cotton. Celluloid also posted about it to their story. And posted a sneak peak of SS25 WH here: https://ameblo-jp.translate.goog/celluloidblog/entry-12889557127.html?_x_tr_sl=ja&_x_tr_tl=en&_x_tr_hl=en&_x_tr_pto=wapp

Quick one wash S1003XX fit pic. Left them a tiny bit too long to account for the first few washes. Most pleased. Scuse the dirty mirror.

Been struggling to find something that I’m happy with fit wise recently, but am very pleased with the 1944 DD-S1003XX. Mostly because they’re not DSB which I’ve decided I don’t really like all that much. I’m turning into @Alec Leamas though and am very upset that I have to get rid of this lovely factory chain stitch…

Never! Even their catalogue is not correct. Items listed as going from size 38-42 have been available up to a 46 at many JP retailers.
