I also second Sugar Cane.
TCB 50s are a great jean as well.

Were the measurements the same on both pairs?
No.
My 3005 from SE is a 33. My 3005-S is a 34. The fit looks the same on either.
I also have the 3005-A, size 33. The sizing is consistent for every pair and model.

@jimmy_d I have both the 3005 and 3005-S. The arcs are the only differences as far as I can tell.

My size 34 measures around 12.25-12.5 (from the crotch), those thigh measurements seem massive for the 3005.

@jimmy_d Self Edge should be fairly accurate as of now. Heddels page likely has SE's measurements from year's ago (likely when they first stocked the 3005). Vintage paradise on Rakuten has the 3005-S, they will provide measurements (2nd also has this model but they do not provide measurements). I have both the 3005-S (size 34) and SE 3005 (size 33) if that would help you at all?
The 3005 is a great fit, not too repro like yet comfortable with a true mid rise. It's a good stepping stone into more true repro like fits.

Always liked the all orange thread used on the 3009 arcs.

I can see some 60s by the end of this year happening.
Nice fades @Hendsch.

I get the wannabe cowboy vibe from Wranglers up here in PA.

Agree completely @Cold Summer. These 50s are some of the best jeans I have, and I've bought, tried, and own more than I care to admit.

TCB and Sugar Cane, hands down.

I like the looks of those pockets. Don't have anything "Lee" like in my collection.

Maybe this will be my first pair of Roy, it's gotta happen at some point right

Did you get a lead on some Japanese arcs by chance @Broark.

Look forward to seeing more details as they come.

I've grown to really like the large shoulders. Make the shirts and jackets more comfortable.

Time for me to find a pair of old JP arc 3005 or 3009.
3005-S will do it. Really like mine, wearing those and the TCB 50s pretty much.
I would like the 3009, but not seeing anything unfortunately. All seem to be ultra-suede.

Seems The Flat Head is getting a new owner.

I figured by pleats, you meant the normal folded "layer" style seen on a traditional type 2. My mistake.

I like it for selling because Grailed takes their fees instantly after the sale, unlike eBay which takes awhile.

My pair in size 34 raw i recently got measured close to what Maynard has listed @julian-wolf
Shrunk a fair amount, but feels like they stretched a decent amount. I didn't record measurements for this pair like i normally do after a hot hand wash. I imagine there is some shrink left but I'm not going to worry about it with this pair.
Edit: I have a 33 in the Sugar Cane Hawaii, and a 34 in the 1947. Tcb 50s are much slimmer in the top block than the 1947s, and fit similarly to my Hawaiis, maybe a touch slimmer but not by much.

When I am in the office I can wear jeans and always do.
When on a site (that doesn't require fire resistant clothing), I can wear jeans if I really wanted to. They would need washed after one or two days of wear, so I normally wear Dickie style pants instead.

Is the London store an official one or just a franchise?
As I have enquired a number of times about a few items that show out of stock and not once have I ever got a reply from them.
It’s almost like they don’t want my money, business must be too good for them...
I thought now with the EU/Japan free trade agreement we would be able to order it directly from Japan ourselves and cut out the expensive middle man.
Same story for me, in the US. Will likely never use them.
Standard and Strange will take better care of you.

Size 35 it seems here
Will have to verify the waist as I haven't ever measured like that.
