@JDelage looks like a western shield shirt, where the bib opening can be opened either way. Think Lvc did a repro back in the mid '10's but probably impossible to find now.
-
Cracking tux line up @Broark. Love how the 1933 model jacket has a single stitch pocket added whereas the 1942 jacket has been sewn on using a twin needle machine with lock stitch to the pocket flap.
-
@aho if there's a sudden Marble-wash revival, we'll all know who to blame 😁
-
😂 That's so Broark. Looking forward to post wash measurements on that jacket mate.

Don't forget the shrink factor. Here for example is a pair of late 60's 501's, the denim shrunk 8% and the result is these creases. Sorry for the pic quality, just screenshotted this from lnsta.

@smoothsailor Paul you gotta work at your swagger more. Smoothsailor Jr is killing it.

^YESS! to the above denim combo @MJF9 That 1922 looks mighty fine and as you say your current 'smart' 506xx (hey wear it to the footy and see if Lucky denim jacket guy notices?) Looks great paired with the 37's. Thanks for posting mate.
-
^Agreed. Lovely looking place @julian-wolf we need to see more of it if that's ok with you?
-
@MJF9 about time for some FW1922 506 update pics, no? 😁
-
Thanks for that @MJF9 ! ^Actually just realised that the 20's tux isn't my first experience of WH denim. I first had the 1922 model (details more like 1927 tho) in Duck Digger denim. Wore them on and off for a while, took all the waistband hardware off recently and tried to give them another go but that lower back rise isn't doing it for me no matter what. So l have ditched them (and also shelved both pairs of Lee's but that's another story) which leaves the door wide open for me to use this wonderful 2 piece overall as my yard/garden/outdoor work garment. So hopefully an improving picture fade wise 😊

Some quick snaps of my Warehouse 1922 501XX jeans (1914 'belt loop model) and the 1927 506XX blouse after a wash. The jeans have had their second wash after about a year or so of actual wear. The blouse/jacket has had its first wash only after about 6 months of actual wear. Click on the image twice for clarity. Not sure why the images turned out such a lighter blue, just taken them outside under cloud. Will ask the Mrs to take a fit pic when she's down later in the week so may bring out the depth of the denim more(?) These were my first Warehouse items, really loving this unique denim and its characteristics but it does seem to fade faster than any denim l've previously owned. [edit] Don't understand why the first 2 images are on their side as l haven't changed anything about them. They are all standard photos taken one after the other. Fkin sufu😠

Cracking work on that bag @Duke Mantee

Continuing from the above post, A big thank you to whom ever it was that sent me these photos via lg a couple of days ago. Looking at the rest of the set of pics here it look like they have all the hallmarks of the 1942 501XX except in this case the buckle looks silver as opposed to the black one we'd normally expect or it could be the lighting putting a shine on it? Also this pair has alot of dual orange and yellow stitching, unlike Larry's deadstock pair on the previous page which in King of Vintage Vol.4 has mostly yellow. Rounded hidden rivets post-1940 and copper coated fly button backs, which l've not seen before on a pair of 1941 or 1942 501's.

Don't need any more denim @Broark but will browse your wares if posted here. My son was only a year old when l joined Sufu in 2009 now he's 17 and as tall as me, wears my old FW47'S and is taking driving lessons ! Enjoy every moment mate, it's a journey you'll never forget.

Looked through this thread but couldn't find them, l had a whole set of pics of this pair so l must've posted them on denimbro back in the day. Sadly now l've only this pic stolen from lg to show you. Deadstock 1942 501XX sz 36x36 (click the image twice for more clarity) sold by Foremost some years back. Lovely two tone stitching. Hard to believe this pair and the WW2 pair l posted earlier could be produced just a few months apart, yet in some ways they are both world's apart in detail and design.

They look a bit shabby @silencejoe but I'll give you ten quid for them, l could maybe use them in the garden or something 🤔
-
What are your genes doing today? 😉 Congratulations Austin.
-
Can we see a fit pic after you've taken them out of the bag? 😉
-
Nice to see Duke's legacy being carried forward. You have three really nice pairs, hope you don't Shred them up too quickly 😅
-
The flatter buckle for me @SLAYER but both work well.
-
Forgot to say, also nice to see you posting again! Can't believe my old jeans look awesome now mate. Haven't spoke for ages, hope you and yours are all well? I'm still mainly in shorts too between May and September so can empathise.

Lots of info out there on the Internet @istewi and many opinions too. I don't know much about single/double stitching on cuffs/waistband as a dating tool but the jacket fits you and that's the most important thing imo.

@istewi Little e on red tab plus 2nd gen wash tag puts it at least c.1974. Thought 524 was el Paso but anyway nice score and it fits perfectly.
