They’re 41 cm laid flat and a little under 42 cm with the waistbands aligned and pulled tight. They probably would stretch a little more too if needed. Pulling out my pair reminded me how much I like them and that they’re probably due for some more wear

I have a pair of black SC 1947's in size 31 and a pair of TCB 50's in 33. The SC are slightly on the snugger side, but still plenty comfortable. The TCB 50s were a comfortable fit right out of the box. A size 32 in the 50's would have probably given a comparable initial waist fit to the size 31 SC 1947's. At the end of the day though, I probably would have been happy with either a 31 or 32 in the 1947's and either a 32 or 33 in the 50's. I think that 33 is pretty the right call for you, but it's partly a preference thing for you too. I can measure the waist of the size 33 50's when I get home if that would be helpful. They have gotten a lot of good wear, many washes, and many machine dries.

Bears still sold out very quickly for the 36 inseam fatigues.

The Rockets tab is Venus which also puzzled me due to its similarity to Genus and its non-sequitur to the brand. I wonder if it’s for a similar reason

I thought about picking up a pair out of curiosity since they are one of the rare niche options that have a long enough inseam for me. However, size 31 sold out very quickly, so I'm hoping for someone else to be the guinea pig

I noticed that Earthmarket carries a few Flat Head pairs. I linked the 3009 pair below, but I'm not sure if your size is in stock. You should be able to find some on Rakuten if you search through FromJapan or some other proxy. Earthmarket also seem to carry the 3002 and 8004 models. Another trip around the sun this weekend. We had a one day reprieve from the heat so I took advantage. It’s mostly been too hot recently to wear pants or denim unless I absolutely have to do so at work Ebbets field/Whitesville/Rockets/Red Wing

Did anyone here end up with any of these? Bidding seemed pretty active. I was in on the w32 pair before losing out in the last 10 minutes

Thanks! That is helpful and makes sense. The Kyoto denim is indeed a rather light blue. I was surprised when it arrived last year, but I like it a lot.

Thanks! Is it the same denim found on the Kyoto and Tokyo pairs?

It’s been too hot to wear denim the last couple weeks except when I must wear long pants to lab. So I’m compensating with madras to avoid sweating too profusely at work Ebbets Field/Brooks Brothers/Sugar Cane M41001/Tony Lama J Press/Denime Kyoto/Rancourt

@beautiful_FrEaK those Shins era 66 pairs have a listed length of 96.5 cm in the rigid state. From your experience, is that likely the inseam or do you think that the seller measured the outseam? Do those pairs use XX denim?

This is veering pretty far off the Sugar Cane topic, but you might find this article interesting. It wouldn't hurt to contact Original Madras Trading Company for a length of their cloth. They are probably the source for most of the fabrics in your links. @indigoeagle O'Connell's is one of the last remaining major independent shops for American trad clothing. Their knitwear is great, especially their Shetlands which I believe are made by Laurence Odie and are really heavy and full of lanolin scent. I would have some myself but I've struggled to get the sleeve length that I need in a reasonable chest size so the ones that I own are from elsewhere

Denim Blunders, Reflections and General Nonsense.
yung_flynn replied to cmboland's topic in superdenim
I've heard of people using Forward2me rather easily and successfully for the reverse journey of UK to US. I have no personal experience with them though. International Parcel Forwarding Service 📦 | forward2me I can help proxy too if needed or if the fees above are extortionate. I'm in the sticks of the US though and somewhat far from a major shipping hub so it might be a large time or money saving at that point -
Denim Blunders, Reflections and General Nonsense.

You might be better off checking John Simons at that point or even Drake's at the UK pricing. My understanding is that all of them source fabrics from the same mills so there is a lot of overlap, especially between the Press and Drakes offerings this year. Unfortunately, I don't think that they have anything that quite matches that olive/red color -
My pair is almost ready for another wash so I thought that I would snap some photos beforehand. They’re slower faders than Warehouse but not impossibly slow in my opinion. Some heavy creases and highlights are popping in on the lap. It’s pretty easy to see how these get such pronounced whiskers. The raised back pocket rivets are also doing a number on the pocket corners. I would be shocked if these don’t pop through eventually. Knees are also showing some highlights

My Duck Digger 1947s in Banner Denim got another wash. They rarely get worn at this point as they were originally a little short and are now incredibly short on me. The crotch seam has seen better days too after I repaired nearly the entire length after it had the unfortunate timing of popping open in the Amsterdam airport. Now they’re just relegated for grilling and dirty tasks. I can’t make myself get rid of them though since they were the jeans that I wore for the birth of our son and were my workhorses for the first few months of his life. They’ve gotten many washes do to the usual newborn accidents so whiskering is not as pronounced on some Banner Denim pairs.

Here are some shots of my pair of 50s right out of the wash. I’ve had them close to 2 years now with lots of washing. Seam puckering, crinkling, and roping are great.

I’ve been curious about these for a while. Do these use the Original Madras Trading Company madras fabric? My understanding is that most all madras fabric in the market comes from them I’ve been on a madras kick lately. I would have more but I’m very particular about patterns and try to avoid the overtly 80s preppy colors. The SC ones are mostly to my taste.

I've run across that reseller before (and even bought a pair of Denime Kyotos off them) and they have a lot of good stuff. However, I can never understand their pricing logic. They have a lot of multiples in comparable sizes and conditions with inexplicable (to me at least) price deltas (e.g., a w32 M41027 for $220 vs. a nearly identical condition w33 M41027 for around $400). It was essentially the same thing for the Denime pair that I bought, which was 1/3 the price of a nearly identical model from the same seller. Their Evisu listings, especially from the water buffalo patch era, are some the most egregious offenders

Price is not good on this pair, but they're a good size and in very good condition. There are not many examples of M41059 here (1947 11MW repro). 即決[W33]濃紺 SUGAR CANE M品番 初期 Wrangler 1ST TYPE 11MW カモメステッチ シュガーケーン デニム M41059A パンツ■2240 item details | JDirectItems Auction | One Map by FROM JAPAN These seem to run a little small and probably would fit me, but the price is too hard to palate

SUPERDENIM SMALL QUESTIONS THREAD (Use instead of making new threads)
yung_flynn replied to minya's topic in superdenim
@chicote The Buzz x William gibson chinos were also the first thing that came to my mind. You might want to look at Ben Davis - they have one black workpant in 100% cotton, but I don't think that your size is in stock on their site (I can't post the link for some reason). Randy's Garments have some 100% cotton black workpants too, but sizes are also picked over. Super Twill Gusseted Work Pant - Randy's Garments -
Thanks! Fair point regarding the toe as well - I can’t decide if they’re a classic J or a snipped J (the toe tip seems to taper a bit more than a standard J). Regardless, the caribou is very supple and comfortable. I’m a 13 B (these are 14 A) so shoes are always tough and I’m pleasantly surprised how many long and narrow classic cowboy boots are out there for reasonable prices in my size
