Don't get wider, straight legs confused with baggy. They will only look baggy if you don't wear them in the correct way. Pull them up to the correct place, with little or no break, and you're gold.

@i_denim my true waist measurement (at belly button) is a 29.5 ish. I have a size 29 in the 50s, size 29 in 50s Slim (honestly I could size down to a 28 for waist and stretch, but the legs would be absurdly slim. I could also size up if I wanted a looser fit. The waist on the Slims ends up larger because of the low rise) and I have size 30 in the 60s. The 60s do indeed run smaller in the waist than the 50s, but I also feel like the top block is similar for both. Sizing up to 30 gave me a good waist fit, but are looser all around. I could've gotten a 29 in the 60s, but it wouldve been absolutely killer after every wash and dry. If you sized the 60s without going up, you may get the fit you want. You could try to control the shrink in the waist band by putting some in there to Keep that part from shrinking. Hope this helps a little. Sizing can be tricky.

@erockisalive at the waist they run smaller, but I'd imagine the top block is compareable if you got them in the same size.

@erockisalive I was thinking about pulling them, but I'm not sure. I noticed them on the denimio picture before ordering, so I knew they were coming. They're barely visible at the moment, although they might be more visible with fading? Maybe that Inoue's intent. I honestly don't mind them that much though.
The '20s contest jeans are a little more noticeable.

Thanks! I'm excited to put some wear on my TCBs.
Side note, It's a work in progress, but I've started a little blog for documenting my Journey. I got a little bit OBSESSIVE and bought three different cuts of TCB. I sort of blame Denimio's good prices, promos and point system x__x. Anyway, check it out! : https://michindigo.wordpress.com/

@Darkthrone I hot soaked my TCB 50's for one hour in hottest tap water, then hot washed them twice. I'm rocking the original hem length with a fat folded cuff.

Here's a pic of me in my new TCB 50s, finally a part of the club!
Dang, those look good! What size waist and how did you size them? If you don't mind me asking.

I am sure the use of a dryer would dry the metal fast enough to delay the rust. I soaked them 3 times for and hour each, so the metal probably stayed wet long enough to oxidize.

the newest batch of 50s jeans sport the same branded buttons used fot the 20s, they rust indeed.
I know this is a period correct details for the 20s, not sure about the 50s jeans.Hopefully someone more knowledgeable than me will chime and let us know, @Paul T perhaps?
I sent Inoue and message on Instagram. He said that the buttons are made of iron for vintage styling.

Hey,
I just realized the buttons on my new 50s slims are rusting. Any of you experience that?

Hey!
First post here, but I've used this thread to help with my TCB adventure. I thought I would share my experience with purchasing the TCB 50s Slim with you all, since there isn't much info about them on here. I went through Denimio for the purchase, which I couldn't be happier with. They provide a great service! Their New Years sale made that decision pretty easy.
I ordered a size 30 first, which ended up feel about 2 sizes to large. Even knowing that they were unsanforized, I still felt like they wouldn't shrink enough. I have a pair of Naked and Famous E5 that are a size 30 and a pair of UB201 size 29 (a bit snug).

I sent those back to Denimio and received a 29, which I didn't take pics of Pre soak. Sorry about that! They did fit a little bit loose, but not like the size 30. I soaked them 3 times for 1hr each, in hot water.
Pics after 2nd hot soak: https://imgur.com/a/M8Kef
Pics after 3rd hot soak: https://imgur.com/a/4gjSb
The fit didn't change much for the 3rd soak. A tiny bit, but hardly noticeable.
End Measurements: Waist: 31"
Rise: 9 1/2"
Thight: 11 3/4"
Length: 34"
Back Rise: 13 1/5 "
Hem: 6 5/8 "
Thanks to @Collin and @volvo240thebest for the help!

I think my inseam measures at 29.5" after hot soak and hot wash. I'm about 6' and have a double turn up going on. It's a tiny cuff and would be a bit longer with a standard single cuff. borderline high water look, but I like it.
