Here’s a couple of 661xx 56’ fit pictures.
Tag 33, hemmed to 30” inseam.
Take these with a pinch of salt - the photographer comes with the house, so it is what it isAlso, just washed and not looking quite right here. They’re a little slim but not to the extent they seem in these pictures. Drapes not quite right as the fabrics stiff from the wash too.
normally they’d be cuffed about 1.5” as well. This has them sitting above the shoe.
anyway…also featuring size 42 sweat19 -

Just a quick message to say the 661xx 1956 are easily my favorite pair of jeans ive bought over the last few years.
The cut is spot on, a little tapered below the knee, but with a nice rise and thigh proportions.
Even better on me than the 51 which I love.Bonus jeans & Freewheelers socks shot - just to prove im actually wearing them.

Agree @youngofthesoonest and @Double 0 Soul that regardless of how many details you provide and how careful you are with the details, some people just don’t care to check and feel they've been wronged regardless.
Buyer protection is one thing but it’s now gone too far the other way. Sad times
thanks for your replies everyone.
(if it helps (it doesn’t) I’ve given him a good dressing down, whilst being very polite on eBay messenger - small wins!)

Thanks @pomata - I do the same.

Waist looks like 33” measured how they’re measuring it, so probably 34” or 34 1/2” total circumference (I think both versions of the measurement are useful and say different things about how the jeans will fit)

I find it way more useful to measure thighs a little higher, but thigh measurements never really seem to tell the full story either way
Thanks.
A buyer on eBay is seeking a refund after stating I’ve mis-sold them by listing the wrong measurements.
these are the photos he sent as “proof” that I’d listed them incorrectly, commenting that the waist (according to him) measures only 31” not 33” as I’d stated, They are a tag 34.
My listing stated they were 33” measured using the BIG method. He contacted me confirm this and agreed on measuring BIG style
He then also claimed the thigh is only 10”, not the 12” I measured.
I just wanted to check I wasn’t going crazy. I’ve never had any issues measuring correctly and selling with said measurements. Sadly he didn’t do any homework and now it’s my fault.
He did also mention that he’d need to loose 3 stones to fit into them, which realistically means he was never going to be able to wear them regardless of them being a 33 or 31” waistI Love eBay

I feel like a 42 Might be too small for you?
size 44 unwashed here:

I would have guessed a 44 might work for you if I can wear a 42.
the blue in the picture is a bit more vivid than in hand. It’s a bit darker or blacker in person.
but it has started to fade nicely after a few wears1 -

aha interesting... if you have a min Duke old bean, do you have the post wash measurements for your 42?
I can measure my size 42 sweatshirt if you like…it’s been washed twice now. Currently unworn after the recent wash.
let me know if that’d be any help?2 -

Good to hear. Im looking forward to the 56 cut. I’m really enjoying the 51 already and since there’s not too much difference above the knee I’m hoping they’ll be just perfect. Have had them hemmed slightly shorter than the 51 too - might get the no break holy grail fit if I’m lucky.
It’d be good to see the faded blue sweat. Im really looking for the that faded purple tone. I’ve seen a warehouse sweatshirt and hoodie that had that exact fade - and I think Neal was wearing a Mccoys thats that color too. It’d be ideal if this goes that way in future.0 -
I have the sweatshirt in a size 42 and it’s easily shrunk a whole size, if not more after a 30。c wash. Almost too much in the shoulder initially. It’s stretched nicely in all the right places though, including the collar.
I just need to wash it 100 times now to fade the blue to a lovely worn purple hue.0 -

The 22 denim is totally different to the 37s … much more similar to standard 601xx
Is the 601xx 51’s denim the standard denim? I really like it. It’s a bit irregular and has a lovely rich indigo tone.
I also think the 51cut might be a Goldilocks of sorts. Very comfortable starlight away and sits just right.
might have to get a 47 to Compare it to (for science, not greed obviously)0 -
Fabric question.
Is all sugar Cane ‘Okinawa’ fabric a LHT with green selvedge ID?
im basically looking for a straight or straight tapered fit in this fabric.
I had a pair of MF lot 64 Okinawa’s in this fabric but they were far too big.
If the Canes are the same then I’ll look at them instead.
ThanksEdit: my guess is im Looking for Okinawas

I made the mistake of wanting my jeans hemmed. Whilst waiting. This displeased them.
I was told it would take at least a week, and I’d have to pay for postage. They didn’t have the thread colour to match my current hems, so I’d have to have tobacco or nothing.
They were too busy preparing for an even that evening. I was also told by someone who went to said event, that they wouldn’t sell him some boots or bother looking up how much they were - too busy eventing at the time.
So overall, I have no idea how to win them over. Sigh.3
