  1. If anyone is selling a pair of the Self Edge BSPOW in a 34 please let me know.

or if you have a 33/34 with wear I could have measurements from.

Have spoken to Kiya - there’s a restock scheduled for March but I’m curious to see which pair will suit.
    Thanks

Like @unders i used to gather a lot of information from JP blog sites and i'll add GeoCities (RIP) to the list. I also used to follow blogs attached to Japanese stores.. Junky, Warriors, 49's for instance.. alas as previously mentioned a lot are now defunct and ive become jaded by it all.., in recent years a new gen of denimheads have come along which has coincided with the influencer culture and everything has become a bit more lazy and simplistic, the quest for knowledge has gone, replaced with.. well, the quest for clicks.

I would hazard a guess that 99% of recent denim blogging has been previously discussed on here, if only folks could be arsed to look for if they would be in for a treat and find a much broader perspective. Take Jake's blog for instance, i only read his CSF post and it was just a re-writing of the CSF thread over on DB, all points had been previously discussed and not by him, he offered me nothing new.. but that's best left in the past.. (a little wizard hasn't been milked that vigorously since Debbie Mcgee met Paul Daniels :D) that's what annoys me about lazy writing ie "How to Cuff" nobody is that stupid, that blog post serves one purpose and that's exposure. Try it for yourself..  Type Conners Sewing Factory (for instance) into g-images the first 3 images are from heddles, and the next batch are either almostvintage, indigoveins or denimhunters rather than the forums/source info.

This is noticeable even on this message board.
Take the Roy thread for example - Half the questions, details and stories are repeated there over time. I’m sure I’ve even had my own posts from years prior quoted back to me. Really enjoy it when people reply to my own comments on the (a)subject as if I’m a idiot, and then use an old post of mine as reference material to do so :);)

Such is the denim circle of life.  - I’ll still keep buying them if they keep making em.
Shame about credit not being served on the original content though for CF and such.

^ Washing doesn’t always do a good job of getting rid of the smell of cigarettes, esp. when something’s been stored in a house where folks smoke indoors

Cigarettes are insidious as hell like that (& in general, but that’s a different story…)

Not washing them is also a guaranteed way to not improve the odor too.

On a side note, would anyone be interested in buying a pair of what were listed on Grailed as: rare OG 2008, size 30, chainstitch hemmed to 30 by Self Edge. I bought them a few years ago, never fit into them, and left them at my parents house. The good news is that they're pretty clean/unworn, the bad news is that they might smell like my mom's cigarettes. Say the cigarette smell went away, what's the market price for a pair like that these days?

Why not wash them and then list them?
no chance I’d buy them unwashed and/or smelling of cigarettes! Why would somebody be okay with that?

Found this jacket for a pretty good price.  Did any of you get one?  Can you let me know if you sized up, how it fits and how you are liking it?

I bought this in a 42 - its a tad roomy but fine with a sweater -  a 40 would have been too narrow in the shoulder.

I have an Eastman Navy deck jacket in a 42 as well and a McCoys Zeilinski in a 42 as well for ref. Its supposed to fit as it does - go usual size.

  6. Don’t think we discussed this before…?

MMR ADM - ft. Malcom Catto

This was a mysterious project 10” vinyl release a good few years ago. Very hard to find now, but has just popped up on Spotify.
Easily on of my favorite records.
can’t quite categorize it. Funk sounding library, synth, drumming mania thing.

Catto is regards as one of the great living fusion/funk drummers (so I’ve read) and was sampled by all sorts of hip hop producers thinking his drumming on various 7” must be old rare groove funk - or so the myth goes.
he’s been the live tour drummer for Dj Shadow in the past. Lives in Bath or Bristol and has a band/ projected called Heliocentrics.

anyways. Give it a listen - it’s a start to end type listen. Not too long. About 16mins

my pick being 4our if you want to dip into it for a taste

    lemme know what you think?

  7. Thanks guys - it’s as good as I’d hoped it would be.
It feels a tad long in the arms but I’m sure that due to the width of the cuffs. Definitely needed this size as the shoulder is spot on here.
Really impressed with the heft of the fabric and the construction.
My favourite feature is probably that the pockets inners are cut and sewn with the curved silhouette of an N1 pocket, meaning you can see that pressing through the face from behind.
This is my first item from Freewheelers- very impressed by them.
