  1. @i_denim They are sanforised so minimal shrinkage is to be expected with a hot wash. You could try putting it in the dryer and that would probably yield some results.

@SuperJackle We have some ordered for the store, So I'll report in when they arrive. They do seem to run larger than the normal tees from what I've already seen though.

  2. I also have the slim version sized up one. I wish I had the regular version, however, at this point, I have too many vintage pairs of fatigues to justify buying another green pair.

  3. Some style shots we did for our new orSlow delivery.

Featuring USN Hat in Hickory Stripe, BD Shirt in White and Regular Fit Fatigue Pants.

  4. I wouldn't soak the shadow selvedge personally. Half its appeal to me is the high contrast and quick way the denim fades.

Like @erockisalive says you will get half an inch stretch over time and then they will shrink back to normal after a wash. Soaking it won't affect the size that much.

But its totally up to you ;)

I am just confused why is the brand being marketed as mainstream/mass produced. It is available on sites like End clothing that usually sell brands like Edwin etc. And niche sites that sell raw denim don't seem to carry the brand (Self Edge, RivetandHide, Okayamadenim). I am not questioning whether the brand is truly artisan or not. Just voicing my thoughts.

Your benchmark that because a brand is carried at End that it is somehow mass produced or mainstream is way off.

End carries Engineered Garments, Wtaps, Nhbd and Visvim would you say these are mainstream or mass produced brands? I wouldn't.

Orslow is so far removed from mass-produced as you can get. Their name and company motto literally imply that they have slowed down production to create a quality garment. Indeed everything they make is done on old 1930s-40s sewing machines to create details that modern machines can no longer replicate.

Raw denim sites such as Self Edge and Rivet and Hide tend to specialise in raw denim. orSlow doesn't offer much raw denim in their catalogue.  Okayama denim specialises in denim brands from Okayama. orSlow is not from Okayama so it wouldn't make sense for them to stock it.

One wash from Orslow is denim they have once washed to get most of the shrink out of it. Their distressed denim is sold as used, one -year or two-year washes.

  6. The vintage work shirt as its name implies is a vintage fit. So its going to fit larger than modern day work shirts and indeed the normal orSlow work shirt.

Speaking from experience with my chambray BD shirt from orSlow it shrank around 3-5%. I found my white BD didn't really shrink at all. I have no experience with the black fabric though sorry. I hope that helps.

Dude, I'm going to assume that you are trying to have a joke. But online it comes off really bad. You've already been called out about it in other threads.

Maybe have a think about what you type before you push that post button.

  8. Hi all,

I have a question regarding flesh out Horween leather shoes.

How well would it stand up to snow? would I need to treat it first ie would the snow stain the leather?

I'm off to the snow and want to bring adequate footwear. Being from Sydney I have little experience with snow and don't exactly want to ruin my shoes :D

    Thanks in advance.

You guys have definitely sold me on the 1976's!

I'm looking for a slimmer fit though - does anyone know if this will go well if I size down one?

I wouldn't size down, they will shrink anyway.

  10. At a size 30" waist I wear size 1 in most pants. I sized up to a 2 in the slim fatigues due to the thigh and taper being a little too slim for my liking. In hindsight, I think the regular fatigue would have suited me better.

I think you would be the same size in the fatigue as the 105.

Our orSlow collection on sale at the moment.
