  1. So it seems that I didn't have the whole picture and there will be a whole line up of 501s for next season:

    1890, 1915, 1933, 1944, 1947, 1954, 1955, 1966 and 1976 :D

The 1880 triple pleat blouse, Type 1,2 & 3 denim jacket are also back.

    All in cone denim.

Including these tributes to cone mills a 1955 501 and Type 2 jacket made from all the different years of cone denim.

Not sure what i think about the above though?

I've been meaning to ask this but for the Sugar Cane thread since both brands are under Toyo.

Is the denim made by Buzz really just Sugar Cane denim but with the Buzz tag on it?  I've haven't seen anyone review their denim on here or in the WAYWT thread.

    For example:

Good question I've never seen the Buzz denim in person. Any stores outside JP stock it?

  3. I guess that's the problem with small run limited items and when you need to work with another brand for production.

It probably costs Pallet around $100 to make, they sell them to Bryceland for around $200 and Bryceland has to make their margin otherwise it's not worth doing.

  4. It's been mentioned a few times. But all current season LVC is white oak cone denim.

Next season will be the end of the white oak mills and they are only doing a 47 and 54 in 501s.

All 66s this season are white oak, so no need to freak out.

  5. That 1880 is very tempting. Im not sure if I can pull it off style wise though.

My 1976 inseam ended up just shy of 29" after a few washes. So a shrinkage of 3" in total.

If you have wide feet it may be an issue. I bought the Iron Heart sneakers made by Moonstar but I had to return them. The length was fine but they were much too narrow for my feet. The next size up would have been too long.

This is true. I found the fit on SLP or Doek means that you generally have half a centimetre of extra length to accommodate the width issue. Some people are okay with this, some are not. I had this exact issue with the Warehouse sneakers.

  7. Haha, its years of buying Japanese footwear in CMs or I would be lost as well.

I found  Doek and SLP to fit fairly similar to each other. Or at least not too different to warrant a different size. I take 27cm or US9 in both.

The only real exception has been the Doek Slip Ons, due to the really low toe profile which made people go up one size.

  8. In my experience 28cm is normally a US10 and 29.cm is normally a US11.

    So a US9 would usually be 27.5cm and a US10.5 28.5cm.

So it sounds like the NC joints run half a size bigger than average.

I'm a 26.5cm foot and normally take US 8.5. I'm pretty sure the NC joints are made at the Moonstar factory. In Shoes Like Pottery, I need a 27cm.
