  1. We just got our Orlsow delivery in store. Most of the items will be online in the coming days.

I just measured up sizes 1-4 in the 107 and 105 one wash that we got in.

I used the BIG method and all measurements are approximate.

What the measurements don't show but looking pictures of the two cuts will. Is that the 105 is a fuller leg past the knee, whilst the 107 is a tapered leg.

Also its worth noting that the inseam does seem to get longer in size 3 and up.

Hope this is helpful for everyone.

  2. Totally got me crawling the net on vintage pairs to see if this is a thing...Curious indeed!

Can't see that its a different waistband on the TCB website pictures.

Its a curious addition for sure !

  3. i think i'm gonna grab some 107s. two quick questions:

    1. if i'm a 31 in most regular trousers, 31 in sam 701s and a 32 in eternal and momotaro (momos are prob a hair too small though), would a sz 2 or 3 be best? i keep getting conflicting advice. the majority of places seem to say a sz 3 = 32 for the 107.

    2. is the inseam gonna be too short at 6'1? i always cuff x2 or x3 (if a wider leg).

There is a bunch of conflicting meausrements out there and to be honest the Orslow size chart is a little confusing for retailers as it starts at size 1 which is 30" and then the  Size 4 at 35" and Size 5 at 37" don't really fit into a standard size breakdown. I see a lot of places start their size charts at 1=28" and so on. I think its more an effort of trying not to confuse customers than anything else.

Again not having any pairs here to measure i can't tell you exact measurements and not knowing what you look like. Its hard to reccomend a size. But going on the Orslow size guide then a size 2 would be the best bet.

From memory the inseam is shorter than most other jeans running around 31".

    Hope that helps.

  4. Good looks. Orslow is a great brand. Love the nappy denim feel of the one wash 105 and 107. Its a great light weight denim and just easy to wear.

Size 2 is actually meant to be a  32" for their 105 and 107 cuts.

    Size 1 = 30"

    Size 2 = 32"

    Size 3 = 34"

    Size 4 = 35"

    Size 5 = 37"

I prefer the 105 cut which is more roomier than the 107

  5. I still haven't written TCB off, as there's plenty of evidence of great, worn-in garments.. but something's amiss, at least here in Sydney.  Neither store has seen much movement on their TCB stock, and it's discounted in both — so it seems unlikely they'll be ordering again.  I'd say now would be a great time to order from overseas (with the $AUD at US 75c or so), but the tagged size seems only tangentially related to the actual dimensions.  I'm sure either place would be happy to measure up an individual pair, though, if you know exactly what works for you in TCB-land!

Hey Mondo next time you are in the store, say hi and we can talk more about denim related topics. Im glad you came in and where able to try on the 33s. Im sorry that you decided that they where not for you.

TCB actually sells well for us. The Super Slim Orange Tab, 50s jacket and Choreman are all popular. The 60s which are currently on sale are not as popular but I would say that has more to do with the cut and Sydney being in love with slim tapered pants than any deficiency in sizing on TCB's part.

    Enjoy your day

  6. Have to agree with the above.

Having had dealings with Inoue on a buisness level. He has never been more than a gentleman and is a genuinely nice guy.

He works extremley hard running a brand and goes out of his way to correspond personally with all his customers. Something you wouldn't find with many other brands.

Im sorry to hear that you had a bad experience Mrman but you are the exception rather than the rule.

  7. My two cents. Those IG pics look awful. The slim cut does not appeal to me at all.

As a brand you can't talk about how much knowledge and experience you have as denim makers and then not name said denim makers. I know its a marketing gimmick. But it just turns me off.

Good to see Marty from GodSpeed rocking the regular cut with some style.

  8. Truth.

The waist stretches out easier than the hips/thighs, but mine are starting to come along. I'm about 10 days in.

This denim is super tough & the cut can be really snug/stubborn, especially if sized down (I have 32" waist and sized down to 31).

Not comfy when breaking in/stretching but damn do they look good.

Really ? i had no stretch in the thighs on my 18oz 666s.

I sized down from a 30" to 29" as i heard that they gave.

  9. Record shops:

    1) Jet Set

    2) Disk Union

    3) Jazzy Sports

    4) Escalator (Now called Big Love?

    5) Manhattan

    6) Bootstreet

    7) Waltz

Jetset is the best place for the underground techno/house sounds. You are not going to find much of that sound in Jazzy Sport or Manhatten records. Also the disk union shibuya has a great selection of sale techno/house.

beer in japan sucks compared to america and decent craft beer is a lot more expensive than usa. craft heads is a decent craft beer bar in shibuya. there are some micro brew bars i went to but cant remember the name. beer wasnt worth the price.

Really what don't you like about Japanese beers ? Are you just talking craft/micro brews or do you prefer Bud over say Ebisu ?
