  1. I have to argue with you there about the coffee.

When I first started coming to tokyo in 08 I was hard pressed to find an expresso machine anywhere.I found one at this outside no name stall next to Stussy in Shinjuku.

Now the so called 3rd wave of coffee spots in Tokyo Fuglen, Nozy, Padlers Talk and Come Again ect are just as good if not better than some of the most hyped cafes in Sydney.

At the end of the day its all about personal taste and what you know and are used to.

  2. Moving to Japan in a couple months for work. My contract is for a year and I might stay longer.

My Japanese is not good. Should I be studying or should I aim to pick it up just by living there? I'm nowhere near fluent but I want to get from elementary level to conversational at least

Study as much as you can. Everyday situations can be really annoying if you don't understand what's going on.

  3. Hello everyone, I was wondering if one of you knowledgeable people could tell me exactly how the watch chain buttonhole on some of these jackets is supposed to be used. My rogue territory jacket has one, and I was curious about how to use it.

Ahh I always wondered what that was for. Thanks Gardernerfan for clearing that up.

I've a got a Tenderloin Chore Coat in medium Im getting rid of if anyone is interested.

  4. Just to give you an idea of fit size, Im normally a 29-30" but had to size up to the 32 in the 606 ( they only make 28,30,32 ect).

  5. Agreed. Ty Harbor is lovely. I always stay at Tenzou Isle at a friends when I visit Tokyo. So Ty Harbor is a 5 min walk away.

Breadworks had great coffee and baked goods. The Brewery is great in summer.

It is a little out of the way, but worth the visit.

  6. Outside those already mentioned.

There is Denham in the rocks, not my thing but the guys working there are lovely and can chain stitch your jeans.

Footage has some bespoke Euro brands.

Supply for Visvim, Wtaps and Neighborhood denim.

  7. illest - sorry dude but your local options are what they are, and no amount of aussies on this forum is gonna change that. i don't like it either but that's the way it is unless you open your own store.

Denim trends come and go. In Sydney Chino's have dominated the market for the last few years. Denim is slowly returning.

Im actually opening a store on George Street in Sydney.

Im stocking a couple of denim brands 3sixteen, Orslow and TCB denim

  8. Hi,

I would like to know if the official Samurai japanese online shop sells outside Japan and is english-friendly.

I'm looking for a particular belt of the brand but it is out of stock on Rakuten for the sizes that could fit.

I tried Kaizoku Pirates but got no answers.

Thanks in advance for any help :).

    Where are you located ?
