@chambo2008 right? I don't exactly want to sell them, but they just look awkward and I have something else on the way.

Been out of the game for a few and just shopping around.
What happened to Eternal? They seem to have lost their presence. Anyone stock their 881 and 883?
I have a pair with a pretty sore crotch hole that might be a pain to repair, plus i'd like to size differently if i were to buy another.
THANKS

Feeler post for this pair of 2000TH Petero18 I'm planning to sell.. I haven't sold to anyone on Sufu in my life, so I apologize if this isn't allowed. I figured i'd post in the Evis thread before the actual FS thread.
I wore them for a bit but lost too much weight and they look weird now lol

Silver gelatin print on Fomatone VC 133 - I plan to selenium tone this eventually. It took a lot of dodging and burning to neutralize the high contrast, on top of it already being a split grade print.
A working print on Ilford MGRC Warmtone Pearl
Can we revive this thread?

My meager collection.
Left to right:Samurai S0511XX
Evisu EDG2000TH001 (Petero 18oz)
Unbranded 221
APC NS
Samurai S0500XX (either Lot 8 or Lot 10, I forget, and the patch is too faded to tell)
Eternal 883not pictured: N&F Skinny guy in Dirty Fade selvedge. Thrifted in almost-new condition, but have never been impressed by the fabric nor fit, so they stay in my dresser mostly.

anybody have interesting repairs done lately?
Yes
My first sashiko repair. It’s crude but it’s mine! This is kakishibu sashiko thread. I blanket stitched the inside of the hole, then attached a piece of slightly stretchy J Crew selvedge denim inside. I had thrifted the J Crew pants, and they’re on their way to becoming jorts.
edit: I plan to expand this pattern so it’s not so uniformly aligned with the patches. I also have some undyed sashiko thread for the knee, and the other thigh maybe in a different, more complicated pattern. These jeans are too big for me, and they’re becoming a practice project at this point.

Eternal 883 - at least 5 years
I’ve had these for ages, and since buying them, have gained a little weight, thus they don’t fit like they used to, and the crotch blew out prematurely.. twice.
I had the crotch fully rebuilt (?) a while ago, then didn’t really wear them much. Then, the second time wearing them after the major repair, I slipped on wet grass and busted the crotch open again!
I’m gonna try again, and get these repaired because aside from the worn out crotch, they have a lot of life left in them.

@kicks79 thanks for the info. Interesting they don't get as much attention these days, it seems. Can you speak to their quality and construction these days?

Y’all, what happened to Post O’alls? Yes they appear to still be a company, but I remember seeing much more activity with that brand many years ago.
I ask because I just dug, from the basement, a Post O’alls nylon chore coat that I bought .. years ago.
edit: for the record, chore coats are my jam

they still had a stitch through tab.
What’s the difference between a tab that’s been stitched and a tab that’s not been stitched? The actual text is stitched through?

Instead of starting a new thread, I would suggest posting this in one of the following existing threads.

Another to illustrate the texture
@lee porter yes that is correct, but the shop they came from lists them as "tight silhouette"

Anyone know about the relationship between L.C. King and Pointer Brand? I know they’re the same company, but wondering what makes Pointer so much cheaper than the former.
I’ve had a hickory stripe chore coat for years (actually bought from a member here back in the day), and just came across a BNWT hickory chore coat from L.C. King today, which I bought.
Is Pointer like, the son of L.C. King?

@Muck Dynasty These are unsanforized, at least from everything i've read. Looking forward to getting the shrinkage out at some point, but that wont be for at least a few months.

@1fookntitefd whoops hem is about 7in.
I really wish these had shrunken more, but they fit nicely, considering the thigh has slimmed down a bit. Maybe I’ll post measurements when I wash them next but that won’t be for at least a few months.
These are listed as “tight silhouette” but in my opinion they are much more of an aggressively tapered leg, which is what I noticed upon viewing the posted measurements. The thigh is much roomier than my other “tapered” fits, and I have big thighs!
edit: Another thing I noticed right off was how the ink printed on the patch (“Petero 18” and the lot no.) have almost completely been washed away

I took post wash measurements and updated my post above. I will eventually post them on Grailed and maybe the Reddit r/rawdenim. Any tips?
